I use it for the studio and think it is an excellent value
5/5

An electric cello of this kind is a significant breakthrough. For a price range like this. Tuners are different from pegs in that they have knobs rather than hooks. Could there be a reason that someone prefers pegs to My personal opinion is that an electric cello with 350 year old tuning technology is absurd. The Yamaha has mechanical tuning or pegs, while the cheaper Yamaha is peg-tuned---- Keep an eye on your child! This guitar looks like it was made by a professional luthier due to the angle of the neck and fingerboard. As with my wooden acoustic, the cello has some weight and is spaced correctly for your body, so you can easily adapt your position. In the past, I have experienced problems in this area with other electric cellos. It was always difficult for me to achieve an optimal bow angle with a Celio, Whenever I grabbed my bow, I always felt like I was fighting it. Despite the high cost of the Yamaha, I would never consider buying it. Since I am an electric guitar player, I think electrics are about new pickup technology and the ability to move from acoustic to electric without needing There were no wolf notes found on playback, so it was an elimination. String height can be adjusted with the bridge to ensure that it is always the correct However, there were no adjustments to be made after opening The design of this feature is well thought out. When I replaced the strings with Aricores, the sound quality improved greatly. You're not going to find a piezo pickup that's as standard as this one -- it has both volume and tone controls. The 'ME50 effects processor, which I have output to two separate channels for stereo, is what I use for studio work with the cello. A great number of sounds are available to me this way. With this instrument, you can get an authentic sound if you use a mixing board and processor together properly. The removal of microphones always makes for a much quicker production, which is why I generally prefer to record with an electronic device. If plugged directly into the cello, it sounds fine with just studio monitor headphones (7506). Or, if you prefer to practice silently, it has more resonance and so sounds good too. The G string does have an occasional buzz. The problem is particularly aggravated if you overbow, something you are not going to do with an electric because active electronics are used. There is no issue with the battery life. The battery is only activated when the phone or external jack is plugged in (to an amp). When you have finished using the cello, you will see that the blue pilot light will flash, which reminds you to unplug either the amp jack or the headphones jack. In addition, I was fortunate to procure a white one, since they are extremely hard to come by. The color of this cello is very attractive, and the black parts of the instrument contrast well with it. Although I prefer my professional bow, I found the supplied bow to be quite OK. I also like the quality of the bag or case. Originally published in German, this is a translated version The instrument is designed to fit the needs of players at any level and is manufactured in China. With the price you pay, you really receive a great deal of value.

The instrument is great for the price, so I am happy with it
4/5

While I was a little concerned about buying it because I wasn't able to play it before purchasing, I decided to order it anyways and see what happened if I needed to return it. After the Cello was delivered to me, and given that it is made in China, I was very pleased with the design and construction of it. My test instrument played well and sounded good for the price. I ran it through a full pedal board and then through a 1000 watt ampeg solid state amp through an 8x10 amp cab and it sounded terrific after a little tone shaping. **I asked Stagg exactly what frequencies are impacted by the "sub bass" knob, and they told me it is literally 100hz potentiometer. When I set this thing up and changed a couple things, I noticed that the A and D strings were binding to the machine tuners. My contact with Stagg was renewed and they provided me with the contact information of a person who is now sending replacement tuners to me. It was my choice not to return the item and order another since I didn't want the hassle of returning it. In spite of this one issue, I feel that this instrument is worth its price, and I wouldn't waste my money on a cheaper model. You will either be happier if you buy this and keep the tuners in mind, or you will be able to The instrument will not come set up and ready to use when you purchase it online. You need to tweak and experiment with it to get it ready for gaming. Ask a friend to set your instrument up if you're not familiar with how to do so, or find a shop who will do it Cellos with electric motors are still relatively new instruments, and almost all classically trained musicians who have written materials online or who I have talked to seem to believe that the idea of playing cello pedals in a loud heavy band is not only stupid, but also not possible. My purchase of this cello and the way I have stuck to my plan as time progresses has made me more aware that anything regarding music is subjective. As long as you know what you want and have enough determination, you can achieve anything, no matter what seems insane. You need only ask yourself, "Does this make you happy and does it sound good to you?" There are no rules when it comes to dating. It was a pleasure to be in contact with Stagg, and I appreciate his communication.

An investment that is worth every penny! There is no doubt that this cello is ideal! I've been wanting to learn to play cello for quite a while
5/5

I would've bought an acoustic cello, but there is little space in my apartment. Therefore, getting an electric cello was my route of choice (at least for the moment). Practicing my French Horn is mostly done at night, with a silent mute, since it's my primary instrument. Cellos like this are perfect for that sort of thing. You sound as though you are playing on an electric bass guitar without an amp when playing at night if you are not plugged into an amp. Plays very very very quietly and is perfect for quiet play. As far as strings and bows are concerned, if you don't have an amplifier, I HIGHLY recommend getting a clip on tuner. Typically the strings and bow aren't of the highest quality. It came with several, and none of them have given me any trouble. If you want those later on, I'd recommend getting them. For both, I think I'll have to pay an additional $150. It is a great product if you want to learn cello, but also want to practice late at night. Do not hesitate to purchase!.

Body is cracked as soon as it is taken A cello has just been delivered to me
3/5

There is a lot of cracking throughout the body. This is a shocking gift that someone sent from the Stagg warehouse to someone else. The quality control was really bad, so I gave it two stars. The brand I ordered is the same and I am not sure if I want to order it again. Whenever I order again, I will update this review if I get a good quality product. That cello must be cracked, I can't even believe it. This leads me to wonder if it has any other issues too?.

Unlike the actual cello, these guideposts are not in line with its shape
3/5

Bruising occurs on the legs when using the supplied guideposts, which do not reflect the tapered shape of a real cello. Cellists cannot hold the cello properly when using the chest guidepost, as it causes bruising as well. There was no problem with the tone, but I wish the guideposts were a bit more precise.
