Questions & Answers

What is the difference between 3/4 size and full size for a complete beginner, and which is the preferred size?

You use your arm length as a guide, which you can find on the internet. The 4/4 or full size is most comfortable for most adults; I am 5' 4" and 110 pounds, and it fits me perfectly!

Is the violin's back made of one or two pieces of solid wood?

If it's a two-piece, it's very well blended. If you go to www.comcast.net, you will be able to find out kennedyviolins is a name for a group of violinists who play for the Kennedy There is a phone number on their website that you can call to ask any questions. They are extremely helpful and are located in Vancouver, Washington, in the United States of America. I hope this has been of assistance.

Is it tuned when you buy it? I'm in high school, in the seventh grade, and I still have no idea how to tune?

Never, but use a free tuning app on your phone and you’ll’ll’ll get’ll get’ll get’ll get’ll get’ll get’ll get% Fine tuners come standard on the violin, making it much easier than using the tuning pegs as a beginner (remember to push in and twist to get the pegs to bind). Keep in mind that the bridge may need to be tweaked after shipping because the strings are strung very loosely at first.

Wasn't this supposed to be a part of Rosin's package? I placed an order for it, but it is currently unavailable. ?

Yes, it should have come with rosin, as mine did.

After 9 months of play, take a look at how well you've progressed
4/5

It's my first time playing the violin, and I'm really excited about it. I bought it for my daughter, who was renting it from a music store, so we could take lessons together. Hers was around $800 when I bought it, and it sounded great, but this one sounds even better! I'm still new to the instrument, so I'm not sure if it's the strings or the instrument itself, but it has such a rich, warm sound to it. My instructor was even more impressed by how "resonant" it was, meaning that when you hit the right note on one string, the next string reverberates. (It's a neat idea. ) After about 9 months of play, I'm still in love with it, but there are a few things I'd like to change or upgrade-- As a result, instead of five stars, I've given it four. To begin with, the case is nice and roomy, but it is "face" heavy, which means it will tip over if you have books in the pouch. The hygrometer isn't functioning properly. Oh well, it was a good idea. If you have a short neck, the shoulder rest might work for you, but I found it didn't adjust high enough for me (long neck), so I replaced it with a Kun, which I highly recommend. The bow. Ironically, my bow is bowed. It twists to the side a little, but it's still functional. I just realized at my last lesson that it's actually quite heavy and unbalanced when compared to my instructor's bow. The bridge is the last point to nitpick. While playing, it appears that the arch isn't at a sufficient angle to separate the G and D strings, but this could simply be due to my inexperience. None of these flaws are a deal breaker for this instrument. I'm still happy with my purchase, and I don't see myself upgrading it for a long time; it's also a lovely instrument to look at. I find myself admiring it rather than playing it on occasion!.

It's never too late to make a positive change
5/5

I wanted to learn to play an instrument when I was ten years old. I was given the cello because all of the violins had been assigned. I weighed 42 pounds and stood at 3 1/2 feet. I was literally and figuratively lost behind it, as I could barely hold it up. I live alone and am trying to make the most of the fact that I have a lot of spare time during this pandemic. So, at the age of 67, I decided to take up violin lessons. I've started practicing with this beautiful violin. br>Thank youbr>Connie Feliks.

This is a violin that I strongly recommend
5/5

As a beginner violin, I bought this package. I decided at the age of 35 that I had always wanted to learn, so why not? This is a violin that I strongly recommend. The package includes everything you'll need, and the violin is lovely, well-made, and sounds fantastic to my untrained ear. When they first started playing, a lot of people said they sounded like screeching cats. That is not the case with me! This violin has a lovely sound to it, and it makes me feel like a future Mozart! After a few lessons with an instructor, he told me that this violin has a rich, deep sound. The firm even uses e-mail to communicate with its customers. After a few weeks, he emailed me to see if there was anything else that needed to be done. My purchase was a great success!.

That's fantastic! For about five years, I played on the cheapest violin I could find, once in a while
5/5

For fun, I went down to the local store, where they only had violins priced at $1000 and up, but I was blown away by how good they sounded. I came across this violin online a few months later and thought it looked promising, so I ordered one. To be honest, I was immediately impressed by the quality of the case, but the violin itself was stunning! It isn't particularly expensive, but it is a genuine violin made of fine wood - It's nothing like the sawdust one I was using before. I was pleased with the accessories and the free lesson offer, as well as the bow. It's been a night and day difference playing the violin for the past several days. To notice, all you have to do is pluck the strings. It has a rich tone that is more deep and resonant. I can play all the way up the fingerboard, and each string sounds great up to an octave or more - I couldn't do it before because it sounded horrible. I've been enjoying the richness of the tone as I've been playing, and I've been having a lot of fun playing slow notes just to enjoy the tonality. The bow is light and responsive, skipping effortlessly across the strings. Overall, I'm happy with this purchase because the violin, accessories, and customer service are all excellent. notch. As a musician with over 30 years of experience, I can attest to the fact that this is a fantastic price for such a high-quality instrument. This book comes highly recommended.

I purchased two of them, and they are fantastic
5/5

Please note the following disclaimer: I'm not a musician, and my knowledge of violons is limited. Two of them were purchased: I used a half and a quarter, and they were both fantastic. Both produce a "rich" and "juicy" sound. if that's what you're getting at. Even the miniatures are tiny. One that appears to be 1/4 the size has a lot of resonance. They also look fantastic, particularly the 1/2-size version with a darker finish. I was able to easily tune them (using a piano and a tuner app), and they stayed tuned for days after my kids "played" (or with) them. Both violins, according to the violin teacher, are excellent. There are a lot of violins under $100, but I'm glad I went with the Kenedys. It's also a full set - Even the violin cases are made to fit each 1/2 and 1/4 model perfectly. I'm very pleased with these (and, more importantly, my children are interested in and enjoy playing them without my having to ask them to do so - From what I've seen, learning music on this instrument isn't easy. ).

Where was this when I was learning? It's a great kit for a great price
5/5

I've been doing this for almost two decades. This is a genuine starter kit. If you're looking for something for yourself or a child, this is an excellent option. The violin itself is of good quality, as are the case and bow, but it is the extras that make it worthwhile. Two books, extra strings, a tuner, and a beginners poster are included in the package. Well done, Kennedy Violins, on a job well done.

I am a beginner violinist and have received excellent customer service
5/5

This outfit is ideal for newcomers. For the price, the case is impressive; it comes with a lot of extras, and the violin itself is attractive. I emailed customer service about their online warranty registration page, and Amy responded the same day, registering my violin via email because the website was having technical difficulties, and she was extremely helpful, assuring me that they were only a phone call away if I had any additional questions. The Kennedy Violins are a group of violinists who live in the United States Check out their website before making a purchase if you have any reservations.
