It was a lot of fun! It's well-made and produces a fantastic sound. I'm a music therapist, and I really like how the color scheme matches Boomwhackers. That way, I can transfer the music I bought or made for my Boomwhackers to the resonator bells. My clients enjoy being able to hold the bells and feel the vibrations as well as hear the sounds while they are playing. The bells set's mallets have nice heads that work well with the bells, but the mallet's stick is flimsy and quite long. My clients frequently hold the mallet by the end and strike the bell with the side of the mallet instead of the head. To make it easier for clients to play, I had to trim the majority of them.
The bells have a church bell or chimes sound to them. I didn't want anything difficult because I didn't think I'd use it much. I was looking for something lighthearted. You can download music by note, letter, or color, which is ideal!.
These are used in conjunction with the Preschool Prodigies curriculum and songbooks. Because they are color coordinated, they are simple to learn. Because they're so big, I had to add a lollipop to mine for scale. I can't think of a kid who wouldn't enjoy playing with these. I wish there was a way to connect them all or to snap them into place. That's something I'd buy as well.
