For the past 30 years, I've been a Sav player. The v12 produces a darker, more rounded tone, and the reeds themselves are much more consistent. I get about 8/10 in a box that work well. You're not going to be dissatisfied with your life.

I really like how these reeds have been cut. Long vamp and thick tip I've been playing La Voz for a long time. They have a cut that I like, but their consistency is terrible. These reeds are a lot more consistent and have a similar feel to them. The tone, in my opinion, is a little darker. They're also a little on the hard side, and I've gone through about 5 boxes of them. 3 out of 5 4 reeds in good condition, 1 reed in good condition There are two performers in this piece. On my setup, these aren't quite as good as La Voz, but given that I only get one, I'm not complaining. In a box of La Voz, you get three good reeds and at least three throwaways, which is a good compromise.
These are the reeds we prefer to use. Other brands, including Vandoren's V12, were also tried. The most fundamental is the most effective.
Genuine as well as practical.
Sturdy.
Vandoren reeds are one of my favorites. My son has been using these reeds for band for over 5 years and finds that they outlast other brands.
Jody Jazz Giant 7* is what I'm using. br>It has a great sound and is simple to blow.
I haven't noticed much of a difference between this and the Traditional. By a wide margin, V21 outperforms this reed.
This is a dark reed that was most likely designed for classical use. However, it's also suitable for jazz.
