Questions & Answers
For more than a decade, I've used Rigotti Gold reeds on all of my saxophones. I like that each grade has three strengths, whereas many brands only have one. This allows you to fine-tune the strength you require to an extent that no other brand can match. In the continuum, the 3 Strong and 3 1/2 Medium are separated by two strengths. These strengths, in my opinion, correspond to various tip openings. On tenor, I'd open with a 3 strong on a 9 tip, a 3 1/2 light on an 8* tip, and a 3 1/2 medium on an 8. br>br>It's a bit like Goldilocks - it's just right. If the 3 Strong is too light and the 3 1/2 Medium is too strong, I'm guessing a 3 1/2 Light will be "just right." I hope you found this information to be useful.
Selected User Reviews For Rigotti Tenor Saxophone Reed (2.0 Medium)
Every reed in the box was able to play without any additional effort. Because the logo is printed rather than engraved on the back of the reed, it is incredibly smooth.
