Questions & Answers

Is there really only one reed here?

Yes, that is correct. Synthetic reeds last far longer than cane and require far less preparation and maintenance. The American Cut synthetic reeds are a new version of Legere's synthetic reeds that have only been available for a few months. br>br>Depending on how much use they get, they can last for several months or even longer.

Selected User Reviews For Legere Reeds LTD Legere Tenor American Cut 2.50 Saxophone Reed (TSA250)

It's terrible, it's warped overnight and will be useless after the first day
3/5

When I first put on this new reed, I thought to myself, "Holy Crap!" I've never had the opportunity to play a non-academic role before. This is the first time I've seen a cane reed that worked so well. I left it on the mouthpiece for 4 hours and came back - fat up and down the horn, very vibrant, etc. At home, the horn was practiced in a temperature-controlled environment. It was also severely warped in the middle of the tip. Attempts to rub/flatten it on glass have yielded no results. The reed is stuffy, tubby, and unplayable at this point. What a colossal squandering of money. It'll be obsolete in a day.

Cain reeds are a great alternative
5/5

I was skeptical at first, but this reed has left an impression on me. The sound has a good tone and a fullness to it. The way to play is with low notes. I would advise you to.

That is not the case for me
3/5

I purchased this item because I was fed up with dealing with bad (wood) reeds. For me, the audio isn't loud enough. These are for you if you enjoy what I refer to as "white bread with a pale sound. ".

For the time being, I'm not going to use a cane
5/5

I will only ever play Le'ge're American cut reeds. It only took a few seconds for me to realize that I would never use a cane reed again after playing one. Their exchange program will help you gain the strength you require, and then you can pick up the horn and begin playing. Half a box of reeds is always perfect. so, and they'll need some work to play the way you want them to. The American cuts are perfect right out of the holder that comes with them.

Tone is rich and lovely
5/5

I recently purchased a Signature Series Tenor Saxophone reed, and it performs equally well or better. The sound is rich and full.

In my opinion, it is superior to the others
5/5

This is the first synthetic reed I've ever liked. Fibracell, Hartmann, and the other legere styles, in my opinion, are far superior. I'd suggest going down a half or quarter size from your regular size.

Free-flowing, pleasing to the ear, and with good intonation
5/5

I like how easy it is to play, it's not too hard or too soft, and it's similar to playing with a cane. The cost is a turnoff.

There is a lot of noise! This Reed is stiff
3/5

very responsive. . . bright sound on bass clarinet. . . but requires more effort to play than the signature.
