Wow! The reed that I'm currently using is my new favorite
5/5

I've been playing the saxophone for over 30 years and have always used a variety of cane reeds. I would have told you ten years ago that the Vandoren blue box was the best alto and tenor box on the market. down. I switched to Legere's signature series a few years ago because it was close enough to a cane sound but had more edge. It didn't seem possible that things could get any worse. I was mistaken, to be sure. I expected something similar to the signature series when I bought one of these American cut reeds, and based on some reviews, I assumed it would be too bright or buzzy for me. No way, baby, these are right up my alley — all the way! They have a greater amount of autonomy. blowing than the signature series, and even more cane-like than the signature series a tone similar to My recommendation is to begin slowly and gradually increase the difficulty level. 1. As an illustration, 75, then perhaps a 2 or 2. Later, there will be five. I chose number one. I bought a 75 tenor on the spur of the moment, thinking it would complement my main HR Vandoren mouthpiece, which is fairly open. Together, they're a match made in heaven. With this combination, my tenor really opened up. This reed makes me so happy. Legere, you're doing a fantastic job; keep it up! You guys are true trailblazers.

Yamaha 4C for beginners It's worth a shot
5/5

Although I was able to play some altissimo notes with this reed and a Yamaha 4C mouthpiece, I was a beginner and the sound came out with no effort. Low register playing great, high B and C a little too high but then again, I'm just a beginner, so maybe my embouchure isn't perfect. I like that the sound is consistent when I mount it; there's no need to wet the reed, and when I play a note, it just sounds, which is a motivator to keep going; however, some notes can sound metallic. Again, I've only been playing for a few months on and off, so that's a factor to consider. Simply select a classic cut 2 from the drop-down menu. To give it a shot, you'll need to be at least 25 years old. A vandoren T20 mouthpiece was previously used, as well as 2. There is a significant difference between 0 cane reeds and cane reeds.

Reeds of exceptional quality
5/5

I replied on the alto, but these tenor reeds are fantastic in my opinion. You'll need to use a much softer strength than you would for regular reeds. I was utilizing number two. I'm working with 5 Plasticovers and a 1. 75, which gives me excellent response in the lower to upper registers.
