Despite seldom playing the bari sax, I bought these for a jazz concert, and they worked fine

With this brand. I use Hemke reeds for all of my saxophones, although occasionally I use another The bari sax is a rare instrument to me, but I ordered these for a jazz concert and they worked just fine. I rarely find a reed that is unplayable with this brand.

The consistency is poor, and the softness is out of control

They were not of high quality, even for the price. The consistency between the reeds in one box was terrible, and two were duds. They were much softer than should have been expected, and I managed to blow one out during one rehearsal. I would say that overall, the reeds are of very poor quality.

I was surprised by the price at the time I bought them

These were by far the cheapest bari reeds I could find at the time. It is not impossible to play all three but one of them is noticeably harder to play. It is perfectly fine to leave out the rest.

I am impressed with her playing on the Bari and the fact that she has only played 2 tunes

The sound from her Bari is wonderful, and she has only played it for two Her strength has been 3. 4, so she isn't sure how strong it is. I have been playing the clarinet with four reeds for the last two years. It is a perfect match in terms of tone & quality 2. Clarity with respect to A total of five Bari Reeds!.
