I like the bari sax readings very much. Due to the change from Rico to D'Addario, I feel that the 3M strength is now harder than those I purchased under the Rico brand. The next purchase I will make is the Select Jazz 3S to see whether or not I am correct. I'll update this review after I have completed.
It works right out of the box and is very easy to use. It is amazing how well these reeds can control and produce a rich sound. You can play it right out of the box with little or no breaking in It will be done on.
The only thing I wish they weren't so expensive was that only 2 or 3 of the five I've found are actually.
I can't think of anything better.
Having given up on Rico years ago, I was searching through all my other options to find some power and character (along with ease of gameplay) for my new old Bari. It wasn't long ago that my long run with Vandoren dried up with bari reeds, when I discovered SELECTS and I've never looked back.
It's the best reeds there are!.
There isn't as much consistency in the quality as there once was.
The reeds are very well made for me because they're not too strong. It is the best reed for a baritone saxophone.
