The cork in the replacement kit is beveled on one edge for a more comfortable fit. This was purchased to serve as a stand-in for a different instrument (clarinet), but it was far too thick. Because of the simplicity of the beveled edges, I went straight to the clarinet replacement kit.

And it was a huge success for. Was exactly as described on the website. And it served my purpose admirably. It was used to protect the wood of a violin by installing a chin rest. ~ j.
The tenon cork on my daughter's clarinet was replaced with this product. It was relatively simple to accomplish and much less expensive than taking the instrument to a repair shop.
My clarinet's corks have been refreshed, and the material is in excellent condition.
It's a great product, and I got it at a good price, so I'm happy with it. It's perfect for what I wanted, and I expected it to be as good as I imagined, but it's even better.
