Selected User Reviews For Yamaha 4C Tenor Saxophone Mouthpiece, Standard Series
It's fantastic! For the first time in 20 years, I began playing the saxophone. I own a 1970 Conn that still has the original mouthpiece. I couldn't play any notes below or above middle C. This mouthpiece made all the difference in the world!.
I ordered the same 4C mouthpiece for my alto sax as I did for my tenor sax. It's extremely dependable, and it gives me one less thing to worry about as I learn to play the tenor sax.
Just. . WOW. I have a few saxes and a lot of MPs, but this one was perfect. It was a Legere synthetic 2 that I used, and it just popped. With the same setup, I can now replicate this success on my other sax (alto).
It appears to be a little nicer than the standard plastic mouthpiece that came with my sax. It's simple to play, especially with the addition of a mouthpiece pad. Overall, this is a fantastic little mouthpiece, especially given the low price.
The old, original moutpiece was to be replaced with a new moutpiece. I knew exactly what I was going to order, and my expectations were met.
What can I say, I've tried a lot of mouthpieces and I keep coming back to this one because I enjoy the warmth and smoothness it gives me when I play.
Beginners and intermediate players will enjoy this game.
I like it a lot. I'm still experimenting with reeds, but the mouthpiece is perfect for me.
