The Tone Edge is a great mouthpiece for the price, with a slightly dark tone but very responsive response; the only flaw is the ligature, which is a little flimsy; however, I am using a Rovner C2R Mark III Ligature with the Tone Edge, and they complement each other extremely well, making the tone even warmer and darker

My first step up from the Yamaha 4 mouthpiece for students. This results in a more consistent tone throughout the range, as well as easier playing of the lower notes. I'm glad I made the purchase.
