That white section kept coming loose, and made it difficult for my Daughter to blow on her Saxophone

So she changed to another type of mouth piece and it worked just fine. I would suggest they figure out a way to maybe incorporate that white section into the mouthpiece.

This is a great mouthpiece! My favourite mouthpiece is the Claude Lakey MP, and I've played them for a long time! There is a wide range of music from blues to jazz to ballads to r&b As far as versatility is concerned, these MPs are very effective and versatile It is suitable for a variety of playing styles

Research has led me to think that these devices do exist but I have not personally owned one. It appears that these Lakey mouthpieces with the white band on the shank have a plastic rather than a hard rubber shank. Usually there is no problem with that, but if you expect it to be hard rubber, you might There is a hard rubber mouthpiece made by CL, but it is more expensive. The material is not an issue for me personally, and I am probably going to buy one of these, but I wish there seller had given more accurate information about.
