Questions & Answers
Vandoren Java Green unfilled 2 is what I use. There should be 5 to 3 reeds on each side. The reed you use may be determined by the type of music you play. (Jazz, rock, funk, and classical) Try the Vandoren Sampler reed pack, which includes four different Vandoren reeds. I'd start with the reeds you already have, as you might have a good one. It's a mouthpiece that's good for reeds in general.
Rovner L- 2RBL (also spelled 2RBL) is a fictional character created by 5). It's designed to fit slim bari sax mouthpieces made of hard rubber (e.g., e.g., e.g., e.g., Berg Larsen and V16), and it's a great match for the Vandoren V16.
The model distinction is the tip opening.

This is an excellent mouthpiece. This mouthpiece comes close to meeting my requirements for a mouthpiece with a little more edge and volume for big band, as well as the ability to blend and play softly when needed for concert band. The instrument has a nice, even sound throughout its range. I experimented with a variety of reeds and discovered that the Rico 3 reed in the orange box was the most effective for me.
The B7 V16 has the same feel as the B7 V16, but with more power. It's impossible to make a mistake with this.
I watched reviews of this and two other high-end mouthpieces and did some research on them. At first, I was hesitant because of the price, but after using it, I realized that it was a complete game changer. All of my students would benefit from this.
Outstanding mouthpiece for half the price of a custom made piece and capable of covering a wide range of styles. I could use a 108 tip, and the next size up is. 120, and I'm out of air in my lungs. Fiberreed medium reeds enable the Bari to whisper and bark.
This is a fantastic mouthpiece. I've had the opportunity to play Yamaha and P. Mouthpieces by Mauriat were available, but neither matched the vandoren's incredible power and intonation. I'd buy it in a heartbeat!.
I've had a Jody Jazz for a while and haven't been completely satisfied with it. For my alto, I have a Vandoren Jumbo Java, so I decided to take a chance and order the V16. The first play elicited an immediate response across the board. I'm very pleased with my purchase and plan to use it for many years.
I returned it because it didn't suit my needs.
