Questions & Answers

Is this better than the Vandoren A12? I'm in the market for a new computer and came across this one. I'm not sure what to get. ?

It is dependent on how you intend to use it. My mouthpiece was chosen because it can be used in both classical and jazz settings. A12 mouthpieces are something I'm not familiar with.

The mouthpiece is quite nice
5/5

It's ideal for blending into a mixture. This mouthpiece had a good core tone, but it wasn't loud or fat enough on high notes for my needs. However, it would be almost ideal for a Concert Band member who wants to blend in. Ksaxman. com.

This mouthpiece is a favorite of one of my HS students
5/5

Our 14-year-old daughter is a member of the high school jazz band. To meet the demands of the new music, her private lesson teacher suggested an upgrade to her mouthpiece. This mouthpiece, according to our student, improves the responsiveness of her instrument and produces a much fuller, rounder tone than the factory piece. On the original mouthpiece, she struggled with a difficult run of 16th notes, but on the Vandoren, she nailed it. I'm not a musician, but I can tell the difference in tone and articulation as a parent. It's a resounding success. Before making a purchase, I would suggest consulting with your teachers. However, you will notice a difference if it is indicated, and you will not be disappointed.

I'm not interested in this

A35 V5. I was looking for something that would blend in with a concert band but had enough power and volume to stand out in a solo or in a full-fledged jazz band; it just doesn't do it for me, or maybe it just doesn't work well with my setup. Mk VI vintage selmer. It must be an excessively large chamber for me, requiring an excessive amount of air to pass through it. Despite the fact that I'm sure I'll be able to get some decent low-volume tones. If you're looking for a "step up," I'd recommend starting with a smaller tip opening or chamber piece. Everything is determined by your lung capacity and "chops. " It is, however, well made, as are all Vandoren pieces. Perhaps it will be useful to you.
