Questions & Answers
Hello, This mouthpiece is compatible with a wide range of alto saxophones, and we have yet to find one that does not. Please let us know if you have any issues with the mouthpiece. The majority of issues arise from the reed strength being too strong for a Jazz mouthpiece. 2 and 2 are our top picks. Jazz reeds with a 5v strength.
If it doesn't fit, you'll need to add or subtract cork to the neck. This would be simple and inexpensive for a repairman to do. A little cork grease will go a long way towards easing those tight fits. br>br>Amazon will let you return the mouthpiece if you don't like it for any reason. This is to encourage buyers.
Hello - Unfortunately, there is no mouthpiece cap included with the HR* Alto Mouthpiece. The RBC1 cap for the HRA1/HRA1S POWER RING Ligature needs to be purchased separately.
I have both an Alto and a Tenor version of this. I agree with the other commenters that you should contact JodyJazz to see if they can assist you. It's a small operation, and each mouthpiece is personally played tested by Jody (or one of his deputies) before being sold. Honestly, I can't see one of these chipping unless it's dropped onto a hard surface or something is dropped on it, as the other reviewer stated. I had previously dropped my Tenor piece and, much to my relief, it had not been damaged. However, it was very likely to be harmed. It's happened to me before with other high-end hard rubber mouthpieces.

horn! I'm also hitting notes that I thought were out of reach for an intermediate player. On the whole, I'm pleased. I'll admit it took some effort because I'm used to riding a Yamaha 5c. I had to work a little harder than usual to get notes instead of squeaks, despite the fact that this mouthpiece is nearly the same size. It has a warm tone to it, but when needed, it can brighten up.
On my alto sax, it produces a fantastic sound; a good tone and a lot of volume For my baritone sax, I use a Jody Jazz mouthpiece. This is a good choice if you want to upgrade from a standard student mouthpiece.
I'm not sure when it happened in transit or if the box was delivered crushed. The mouthpiece, on the other hand, is incredible! This Jazz Mouthpiece is ideal for those who are looking for their first jazz mouthpiece. It was an easy transition from my Selmer S80 C* to this! I like how bright it is.
The sound is very consistent and smooth.
This is for my 14-year-old great-grandson, who plays the saxophone and is going to adore it.
Mouth pieces are fantastic. However, I find the high notes to be too aggressive for my liking.
Easy to blow, with a pleasant tone, precision, and consistency. Mouthpiece is fantastic.
This mouthpiece is everything it claims to be in my opinion. It blows as freely as my old Selmer S80, but with significantly more volume and tone variation and consistency. The Rico ligature that comes with the mouthpiece is nice, but it only has a small placement window for getting the most out of my reed. Signature reeds by Legere are what I use. This purchase has made me very happy.
