A little tweak is necessary to get it to fit on the EWI5000
4/5

In my first impression, I was struck by I expected it to be light, but it ended up being a little heavy. There is a very high level of quality. A military-grade case. It is not a soft case as I expected, but it is a hard case inside. It is smaller than a briefcase. A zipper has to be opened and then the case can be opened There are even rubberized soles on the bottom and sides of the shoe. Features a sturdy strap with a padded shoulder pad. Although this is not a custom case tailored for the EWI5000, it does not come with a keyboard and a mouse. It wasn't exactly what I expected the accessory box to do I expected that it would house the wireless receiver of the EWI5000. There is no need to store an EWI neck strap you can store the USB cable, the USB charger and some other The EWI5000 isn't removable like the saxophone shown in the picture, and I expected it to fit like it does on a saxophone. Thus, the EWI mouthpiece will be located on top of the accessory box (along with the EWI mouthpiece cover). No snug fit is provided by the EWI. There are a few things you need to tweak here. You can now secure the EWI in place by placing the two small pads on both sides of the mouthpiece. In the bottom of the case, the EWI wireless module is snug between the velcro and the studs As a result- Both the pad and the center hub are made up of this material. Why a 4 out of 5 star rating? Please note that The EWI5000 is not custom made for it. Please note It doesn't fit perfectly, but it comes very Please note I will not be purchasing this case for $99 since it is a bit pricey. *Thus, these are the final It allows you to set up the EWI5000 very well once you get it setup correctly. You've got a good point there.

When you own a very expensive soprano and regularly perform, you should invest in a different case
3/5

As a straight, one-armed woman, I was eager to take on this case There was a piece of Selmer (Paris) Soprano, but I decided to return it after only 5 minutes. There is some good in this *The bad This price is reasonable, construction is decent, exterior seems pretty strong

A soprano does not fit well into the case's interior. The part that cradles the bell is good, but the rest of the case is wide open and there are only a few pads that attach with Velcro to the inside of the case. There are a few touch points on your sax, but it generally floats in the case. Even though this might not seem bad, the soprano's neck area will remain free to move around from side to side since there is no padding at the top of the head. case's interior is padded at the sides so that the neck rests on a shelf that matches the width of the One of the moveable interior pads is designed to hold only the middle region of the horn in place, which is outlined in a groove. However, this pad is too soft, and your soprano will still be able to move around. Imagine your SOPRANA acting like the swinging arm of a metronome in the case if you were to purchase one for over $3,000 Bell is held nicely, but the neck will hit the inside of the case on each side as it moves back and forth. Thanks, but no I think it would be much better if the manufacturer could simply design a padded neck slot that securely locks the neck in the center of the case. The item I got in December 2018 was from this website.
I noticed a lot of people seem to have found success with this case for an EWI, but it is not enough for a nice soprano. This might be fine for someone who just keeps the horn at home and never gigs.

A drastic modification of the EWI 400S is required in order to be acceptable
3/5

Actually, it seems like a really good case for a soprano sax, but I bought it to hold an EWE4000S. As I was reading the reviews I realized that it at a minimum fits an EWI. There are people who are tweaking it. It does not seem appropriate to me for any of the tweaks. There is a gap in the case holding the instrument. The manufacturer should have made that tiny "accessories box" removable in order for it to function properly. *UPDATE! We decided to modify it rather than send it back and my husband cut out the accessory Although it took a bit of work to do it carefully so as not to damage the rest of the case, it turned out pretty well. There is no velour lining left after the removal of the bag. To keep people from getting scratched by the metal staples in that end of the case, we cut out some of the staples and moved the adjustable support up to this end.

Unlike a "soft" case, this one does not involve any serious injury
5/5

Soft cases weren't something I was interested in when I was looking for protection for my Yamaha WX11. I was able to meet all of my needs with this case. The ballistic nylon outer shell of this case provides most of the convenience of a soft case, but the inner shell is rigid in a way very few cases are. I'm very pleased with the quality and style of the inner compartment. It reminds me of my old factory Selmer case (which lasted for over 30 It is also, in my opinion, an attractive case that has been well designed and executed. This is a very professional website in every respect. A dream came true for me when it came to shipping. A very fast delivery of the box took place, and it arrived in perfect.

I really like the case
5/5

It's not too heavy, and it's sturdy. In addition to holding my Bauhaus Waldstein curved soprano very nicely, this case has plenty of room for accessories like reeds. There appears to be a lot of construction going on - I've used Protec cases for years, and they've all done the job. While I'm not a fan of zippers, at least this case is heavy-duty, or if a zipper has to be there, it's a heavy one. Moves well and performs well on duty. Even though Protec cases are not the cheapest out there, they are very good value for their price. I'd buy this again if the price was right.

A great case for Sopranos that is When I bought my last case, the zippers stopped working
4/5

It was my daily use computer for the past three years. Straight sopranos and a saxophone can be transported very easily in this boat. As a clarinet player, I also carry it to transport clarinets when I am not playing soprano. There is not enough material to hold a clarinet, but the braces velcro, and they are moveable. Protec cases are the only cases I use on all my instruments. It would not have been necessary to replace the case if the zipper had not broken, they last so.

EWI case that proves the innocence of the accused
5/5

I agree with everyone else This is a great case for an EWI4000. I found the hard compartment to hold a power cord to be about right The inside of the bag has two smaller zip pockets for a 1/8" plug adapter and a few In his opinion, the local woodwind tech who repairs my clarinets warned me (before I told him I was using the case for an EWI) that he has seen saxes damaged by rolling around loose in this model of case, and this is something I believe is true. Changing your position on the bed allows you to make a lot of adjustments Although there are foam blocks in the case, I know it would be challenging to figure out how to secure the soprano sax to the blocks. This case should probably just be called an EWI and that's all there is to.

A good fit for the EWI 5000 or EWI My purpose in buying it was to carry my Akai EWI 5000, and for that purpose it works perfectly
5/5

In addition to being a good sturdy case, the pads inside can be adjusted in order to fit the instrument securely.
