Questions & Answers

In contrast to the gleaming e, a, and d strings, the g string appears dull. Is it because of the silver winding or the oxidized g string coating?

If you could wipe it down with a cotton cloth, that would be fine.

Are the ball ends of the A, D, and G strings also ball ends?

They do, in fact,

What is the difference between the sets 135 and 135b? Is there a difference between them? What is the best way for me to figure out which one I need for my violin?

Hello, there is only one difference: the E string. The 135 is warm, clear, and blends in with the rest of the set thanks to its Aluminum wound E. The 135B has an unwound plain string wrapped in chrome steel that isn't as forgiving as the 135A. br>With best wishes, Ian, Sound Biz

Is it true that these strings are of medium gauge?

yes . They sound the best and stay in tune the best.

One of them had already broken
3/5

I purchased a four-piece set. There were four envelopes in total. I noticed that the strings aren't "straight" or "smoothly coiled," and that the G and D strings have bumps. Not happy, but having to deal with the hassle of filing a complaint and returning them? Let me just try it out. The letters A and E are outstanding. After two weeks of fine tuning, the D string broke. A frayed end was revealed when the ball popped off. How could a "new" string fray after only two weeks of use, especially since the son doesn't even practice much? The sound of high strings is pleasing. I believe I have an old/used D, as well as a possible G.

Very dependable
5/5

Quick delivery is a plus in my book! Strings sound fantastic. br>br> It will go out of tune for a few days, which is to be expected, but it is well worth the money. br>br>Note: This is the third time I've bought a product from this company.

DOMINANT STRINGS ARE EXTREMELY EXTREMELY EXTREMELY EXTREME Dominant strings have left me extremely disappointed
3/5

I've been using them for a long time, but the last two sets I purchased had poor quality strings. E string made a horrible, almost nasal sound the first time it was played. The old string needed to be replaced. In May 22, I purchased a second set, and the D and G strings are now experiencing the SAME issue. Dominant is no longer an option for me. To replace their crappie strings, I'll need to order a new set from a different manufacturer. DON'T SPEND YOUR MONEY IN THIS WAY.

It was disappointing
3/5

My previous one is Thomastik rondo, which is lovely but also expansive, and I wanted to give this one a try because of other people's recommendations, but I was disappointed. If you have a nice violin, you should avoid using these strings.

Strings are fantastic
5/5

These strings are excellent. Even for beginners who require all the assistance they can get, this is an excellent resource. Quality is a byproduct of quality.

Because this is the only brand I've used, I can't compare it to others. The sound is fantastic.

More money should be spent on better strings
3/5

Spend a little more and get some better strings! These strings are a complete nightmare! I've been playing violin for 16 years and have never purchased a set of strings that are worse than these! The audio quality is terrible!.

The sound is deep and eerie
4/5

We were looking for brighter strings, but these have an alto tone to them. Quality is good, but the mix isn't quite right for us.
