The ball ends are the G, D, and A. You can use a loop or a ball for the letter E. A loop E is included in the above set.
These strings sound great on my violin, which has a warm/mellow tone. They don't even come close to overpowering the instrument!

I can't give them five stars because they flatten out quickly, just when you think the strings are great (they take about a week to break in). 'All of a sudden,' says the narrator. blah (roughly a month's worth of life, with about 3 hours of practice per day). On the other hand, the PI's (which are more expensive) last longer but do not sound as nice. Later, I'll go over these strings again. So, I guess it depends on your budget, how much you want to change your strings, and how much you want to practice. Because I enjoy these so much, I'm finding myself changing a lot of strings. They also sound fantastic when played with a Westminster E. The Evahs' power and brilliance are too much for the Westminster to handle. It's entirely a matter of personal preference, but I have an older, less forgiving instrument in need of some whammy. If you feel the same way, please let us know. Evah Pirazzi strings are a good choice.
I'm sorry to say that this purchase has disappointed me greatly. They arrived in a state where they couldn't be used; The winding on the A strings tailpiece was unusually thick, and it wouldn't fit in my standard, generic boxwood tailpiece (I've had no problems with Evahs in the past). The majority of the peg threading on the G string was also missing. The D and E strings were strung together, but they didn't sound right. I was much better off getting a refund and going to my local luthier because I had serious doubts about their authenticity.
Pirazzi strings come in a very perplexing packaging. I used to have the Gold packaged set (which had no gold on any of the strings? ) and chose the Green packaged set (reviewed here) to replace them. Why is it that the Green has gold strings? The Pirazzis in gold packaging have a much warmer tone to them. They are far superior to the Green boxed strings in terms of my liking. I'm returning to the gold-boxed strings.
Despite the fact that these strings are cored, they are extremely good. The tone is a little brighter than I'm used to, but it does soften after stretching. The strings stretched quickly as well. They also have a much more powerful sound than my previous strings. This is exactly what I've been looking for. Another advantage of synthetic strings, which is why I chose them in the first place, is that they maintain their intonation well even when the temperature changes. I'm very pleased with these strings, and I really like how they sound on my 1925 German violin.
These strings give the violin a whole new tone quality that is ideal for playing Bach pieces. The lower string has a richer tone and the E brilliance is more prominent. These strings may not be for everyone, but they give my violin a completely different sound.
I ignored the other negative reviews because I had previously used these strings in my home country and found them to be satisfactory, but I'm not sure what went wrong here. Because I've never had a problem with eBay before, I'd like to attribute it to the seller. Waiting for the strings to adjust, which they never did, was a waste of money and time.
I usually enjoy these strings, but I've only had them on for a week and the A string has already split. When you consider how much they cost, it's a real letdown.
These strings project very well and have a lot of overtone projection. The dynamic range is large, and the response time is quick. The strings, on the other hand, are only good for three months. After that, the strings abruptly die, sounding dull and lifeless. Great strings, but I don't want to buy them every three months, especially given their high price; great strings, but they wear out too quickly, which is most likely due to the amount of playing; great strings, but they die too quickly, which is most likely due to the amount of playing; great strings, but they wear out too quickly, which is most likely due to the amount of playing; great strings,.
