Questions & Answers
Although each violin is unique, the best feature of these strings is that they bring out the best in each instrument.
I believe the colors are red, green, yellow, and blue.
I'm not sure what I'm saying. But, believe it or not, I've discovered a set of strings that sound as good as or better than EPs at half the price: Super Sensitive now has a professional perlon core string set called Sensicire, which retails for around $55. On my 1750 German violin, they sound fantastic.

Selected User Reviews For Pirastro Evah Pirazzi Gold Violin String Set - Silver Wound G - Ball E - Medium Gauge
I used these strings on a mediocre late-19th-century Mandini French violin with a cracked back and sunspots that needed to be repaired. I didn't like playing this violin in the first place, but after putting these strings on it, it began to awaken from its century-long slumber. It's now bright and clear, and playing it is a joy. The strings immediately improved, but over the next month or so, playing 4 to 5 hours per week, the sound improved even as my ability to play decreased. My hands are getting old. This violin is still being set up and the pegs are being reworked, but it is getting better. I'm blown away. These strings, on the other hand, are more attuned to soloist strings than regular Evans, according to 8. After using these strings, I've discovered that I need to scrape or buff the rosin off of them or they'll crust over. I'd never had anything like that before. Jade rosin is what I use. I'll give the Evah rosin a shot to see if it helps.
These strings have a lovely ring to them. The E string, in particular, is impressive, as it plays so smoothly and clearly regardless of bow pressure. My average bow now seems to be capable of more. Because of their full sound, I had to tighten my chin rest, and I was buzzing from how powerfully they responded. I used to use dominants. I'd classify myself as a more experienced player.
The Evah Pirazzi Gold and regular Evah Pirazzi s are probably the most popular Evah Pirazzi s. viola strings are still widely used among professionals today. The sound quality and playability are excellent. Despite the fact that the Golds are more expensive, I've found that they last much longer than the standard Evahs - As a result, they end up being less expensive over time.
What a slam dunk! I realize my review is a bit of an outlier, so disregard it; I had high expectations, and the reality fell short. br>br>PRO - If you're looking for a unique way to express yourself, this is the place to be. The ring of the strings is lively. br>br>CON - If you're looking for a unique way to express yourself, this is the place to be. I had an experience that I don't recall ever having before. I had a hard time shifting when I was playing summer gigs outside and my hands became sticky. I've been playing professionally since 1975 and can't recall this happening before - it was like something in my finger was bonding too well to the string, and I'd have to move my finger with the other hand. I've gone through a lot of strings. br>br>I gave the strings to my sister, a professional string player, and moved on to the Obligato. They're not as flashy as the Pirazzi, but they're a lot more fun to play. I don't need that acoustic brilliance because I do most of my gigs with a microphone.
br>How did I come to that conclusion? We got this string, put it in, and it makes a huge difference in the way it plays. Then the kid overtightens it, we replace the dominant string, and play again, but the sound isn't as pleasant as before. From now on, I'm going to spend more money! The price is well worth it.
These strings have excellent intonation and play beautifully. The reason I gave four stars instead of five is that I believe Pirastro strings are so highly regarded that some violinists expect their playing to sound infinitely better once they invest in them. This is not the case. These strings have excellent intonation in comparison to any other string I've played, and the response is fantastic, but they play a little shakily. As a result, your bowing technique must be impeccable. Otherwise, it'll come across as squeaky.
Overall, the sound was pleasant, and I enjoy purchasing Evah Pirazzi strings because they match my violin perfectly. I usually get four sets out of these. After 6 months of trouble-free play (the previous set lasted 5 1/2 months), the D and A strings began to lose their luster after 45 days. The G and E strings were fine, though I changed the E to try out a new type of string. Overall, the strings are incredibly responsive and produce a rich sound. However, the next time I'll try a different Evah Pirazzi gold set.
My instrument's tone has been completely transformed, and the resonance is incredible. People began to wonder if I'd purchased a completely different instrument! From the bottom to the top of the register, the sound has an incredible fullness and resonance. These strings come highly recommended!.
