Questions & Answers

How do you make the loop bigger so the tuner can fit in it?

if you have a looped string rather than a ball There are two possibilities. a)Return and/or exchange the ball end that slides into the fine tuner for the ball end that slides into the fine tuner. Alternatively, you can pry the tuner open with pliers to fit it into the loop, but this is extremely difficult. Instead of inserting ball into tail piece, the loop ends are supposed to loop into the fine tuner's foot. text 630- 641- If you're having trouble figuring it out, try 1086 ivf.

Hello, do you have the same set available in silver D? thanks?

Sorry, not right now, but we will consider offering a set in the future.

Is there a small plastic bridge protector included with the E string?

Pirastro has never failed to cover the string with plastic to protect it from the bridge. There has always been one in every pack I've ever purchased.

What determines whether my violin requires ball or loop end strings? Thanks?

Examine the shape of the fine tuners; if they appear to be curved to fit a small ball at the end and have two small forks for the string to pass through, you'll need a ball-type fine tuner. the string came to an end There isn't a violin in our collection that uses loops exclusively. A loop end can be used on a fine tuner designed for a ball, but the fine tuner must not have any rough or sharp edges that could cut the string. I hope this has been of assistance.

This is a great set of strings
5/5

This is a versatile set of strings that can be used on a variety of violins. I've got a 200-word essay due tomorrow. year- A 25-year-old German fiddle and an old German fiddle year- Both of them respond well to an old American fiddle and Dominants with a Gold E. My only criticism of Dominants is that when they first come on, they sound very raw, brassy, and harsh. My German fiddle is slightly smaller than a standard 4/4 instrument and is slightly quieter than my American fiddle. It takes a lot of playing to get them to mellow out, but once they do, they sound fantastic and last for a long time. When compared to other types of strings I've tried, dominants help to increase the volume quite a bit.

The sound is wonderful! The strings that came with my violin were fairly standard, but I didn't care for how the A and E strings sounded
5/5

Is there a word for it? Twangy? I could tell when I was playing on those strings, so after reading some reviews, I decided to buy these, and boy am I glad I did. br>br>$50 is a bit on the expensive side, but it's well worth it. I knew I'd made the right choice as soon as I heard the warm, rich sound these strings produced. One thing to remember is that the E string can have a ball or loop end, and in this case, my violin was supposed to have a ball end, but I misread the instructions and this pack came with a loop end. br>br>It's not a big deal, though; simply secure it over the ball's intended location and voila. It won't sit in there like it's supposed to, but it'll do the job, and mine hasn't moved an inch since I re-strung it. br>br>To summarize, these strings are absolutely amazing and produce a beautiful sound, and if that's what you're after, I'd highly recommend them.

Make a string change
5/5

Alter the course of your life! Strings are fantastic! The E- string has a lovely appearance. It doesn't screech when it plays; When I changed the strings on my violin, it was like playing a completely different instrument. My luthier had previously strung my violin with (in my opinion inferior quality) Artiste strings, and I was always unhappy with the tone; for some reason, I had to press hard on the strings to get the correct note, and my fingers were always a mess after practice; and I despised playing any piece with the higher A and E string notes. I had no idea why. Now I'm aware of: The importance of strings cannot be overstated. I'm now playing the higher notes on the E and A strings, and it sounds amazing. I don't use a lot of force when I'm playing the strings. I can't wait to get my violin out and start playing; To me, it's as if it were silk. I feel as if I've gone from a cheap zinc necklace to an elegant gold necklace. br>br>The strings arrived quickly and in excellent condition, thanks to the vendor. Excellent value for money.

With the exception of one hiccup, this was an excellent purchase
4/5

These strings are excellent. The sound quality is also quite good. I hadn't played in years and went to open up my violin to play, only to discover that I needed to completely re-string it. I'm going to re-string my violin. I did my bow yesterday, which I'm glad I did myself, because both of them had just completely fallen apart. I got these in today and went to re-order them with glee. I'm going to practice on my violin. The only issue is that the E string does not have the bit at the end that holds it in place where the fine tuners are. I had to spend an hour removing one from my old E string and reinstalling it in the new one in order for it to stay in place. That's the only reason I didn't give it a perfect five stars. It took me no time to re-install after I finally got it fixed. String everything up and make sure it's in tune.

It has a great sound, and it was only recently tuned! I just finished tuning it after putting these strings on
5/5

I'm already blown away by how much more powerful and smooth the sound is! I'm completely taken aback. I spent a long time researching which strings to buy because I'm new to playing and wanted something that was both good in quality and affordable; I'm glad I went with these and will buy them again. I'm looking forward to fully "breaking in" these strings and hearing their full potential. I ADORE THEM!.

Strings of good quality
5/5

For my violin, these are my go-to strings. I don't think the E string is anything special, but it gets the job done. When ordering these, make sure you specify the type of end you want on your E string. For violinists who have never restrung their instrument before. For a short time, these strings will be out of tune until they have fully stretched out.

Beginners and intermediates will enjoy these strings
4/5

Since I was in high school, I haven't used Dominates. school. Now that I'm in my forties, I'm more of a seasoned player. I'm in my 30s and just purchased a high-end home. The violin and bow were highly valued. As a result, I invested in high-quality products. (Evah Pirazzi) end strings After a year, I decided to give Dominates another shot, but I'm only getting the "Solo" sound on the Gold E-Mini. String. These are good strings, but if you're a Sarasate or Max Bruch fan, you'll want to avoid them. any solo concerto-type music-type music-type music-type music-type music-type Pirazzi strings would be my choice. This is simply my viewpoint. The quality of your violin and the level of music you play have a lot to do with it.

This is an excellent combination
5/5

For a long time, I've been buying this set of Dominant and Pirastro strings for my son, who went to an arts high school and now attends a music conservatory. Stings, in addition to the instrument itself, play a big role in the sound quality. The Dominant brand has a great, bold sound, but the E string "rings," as is well known. To avoid this, musicians switch to a different E string brand. For the E, Pirastro is a popular choice, as it produces a clean sound. Offering the Dominant strings in a package with the Pirastro E not only saves money, but it is also a very convenient way to purchase strings.
