Questions & Answers

I am a classical music player. How often should these strings be changed if I play 3 hours a day? Please accept my gratitude. ?

I play for pleasure for about two hours a day and own two violins. These strings appear in both of them. They've been with one violin for six months and the other for more than ten years. I only had to replace the e string (on a violin that had them for six months) because it broke while I was tuning it. If you're a professional, you might want to switch them around. I've noticed that after rosining my bow, rosin accumulates on the strings, but this is easily removed with a soft cloth. I hope this has been of assistance.

I'm curious if these strings are normally $50 or if they're on sale for $50 right now. ?

This is a typical range of prices.

Would these work on the Stator Student 1 Voilin?

The Stentor is a slightly larger violin than the majority of violins. This set, on the other hand, is going to be fantastic.

I watched a lot of videos and had a great time doing so
5/5

I came across a few articles and videos on the subject. I don't usually leave reviews, but I felt compelled to do so for this product because I've been practicing on my cheap $100 violin for about three weeks. I watched a lot of videos and had a great time doing so. I came across a few articles and videos that stated that if you start with the basic equipment, you will need to upgrade to a new bow, rosin, and strings. After investing so little in the hobby thus far and noticing scratching on the D string that was BEYOND my control, I decided to invest in some upgrades. br>br>The $67 was the first to arrive. Fiddlerman carbon fiber bow, model 99. The standard Brasilwood bow that came with the starter kit I was using was much smoother and precise than this bow. The Pirastro Goldflex Rosin, which cost around $15, was the first to arrive. This was also a wonderful addition. I scored with car keys and spent about 20 minutes total on the student rosin I put on the first box. It took less than 60 seconds to install the Goldflex on the new carbon fiber bow, and it went so smoothly that you could tell when you had enough "drag" by applying the rosin to the bow. It's silky smooth, and it's a far cry from the student rosin I was using previously. the strings br>br> br> br> br> br> br> b Srings, srings, srings, srings, srings I went with the standard $51 Dominant set, which included the "gold" E string. After watching a video on how to replace them, I had a nice quality bow, excellent rosin (from Central Florida), and the "go to" strings in 15 minutes. br>br> br> br> br> br> br> br> br> br> br> br> br> br> br> br> br> br> After three weeks of practice, a dud D string and a lot of scratching had set me up to play a beautiful twinkle twinkle for the first time; those first three weeks of frustration simply melted away as the new bow and smooth rosin each flowed like syrup over each new string with not a single scratch. br>br>If you're just getting started, like me, with a less expensive setup, keep in mind that the stock strings are only $2 for a reason. 50, owing to the fact that they are free. Manufacturing costs $30! br>br>Have fun with your new hobby! br>br>Now, if you could just spend some money on music theory, you'd have it figured out! Haha.

Alison Sparrow, a YouTuber from the United Kingdom, recommends it
5/5

That is something I agree with. I bought it for both of my kids after watching Alison Sparrow's "The Online Piano" on YouTube. The strings on my teen's new violin began snapping within the first two practices, according to the "Violin Tutor" channel. br>br>Within the first two practices, the strings on my teen's new violin began snapping. I bought this string set after reading Alison Sparrow's review of an Amazon violin and learning that the Amazon violin strings might not last long. She was right on the money. If I hadn't taken Alison's advice and bought this string set instead, my child would have been without a playable instrument. The only reason I bought this was because of Alison Sparrow's recommendation.

After the three-month warranty expired, the string snapped after ten days
3/5

In my even-numbered years, I kept my violin in an insulated case. Tuned to 440 degrees Fahrenheit at home. While the violin was in the case, sitting still, a string broke just below the key, about halfway through the wrapped section. At the breakpoint, the string did not rub against anything. It turns out that the string is only covered for 3 months under warranty. I've been playing for a long time, and strings should not just break. The Pirazzo E string was an improvement, but the dominants were about the same as my previous set, which I'd bought 4 years ago from a local music shop and were not expensive strings. br>br>The Pirazzo E string was an improvement, but the dominants were about the same as my previous set, which I'd bought 4 years ago from a local music shop and were not expensive strings. (None of which were broken). br>br>Unless I hear from dominant, the vendor, or Amazon, I'm going to buy another brand A-. to replace the string (The vendor directed me back to Amazon, which stated that the warranty was only for three months. ).

My sound quality has greatly improved- I'm very happy
5/5

Shar gifted me with a $500 violin set; I'm an adult learner with about five years of experience. It's a fantastic violin, but I wasn't always happy with my sound and assumed it was due to my inability to play exceptionally well (my teacher, on the other hand, could always make it sing). Sure thing! Over the last five years, I've had to replace two strings at various times, and I've recently become dissatisfied with the quality of my D-strings. I made a comment to my teacher about string. She recommended that we re-write the script from scratch. She told me to string the violin (because it had various strings of varying ages at the time), and she directed me to Dominant. br>br>After doing some research, I discovered that the Dominant E string isn't very good. Dominant G/D/A and Piastro Gold for E, according to everything I found. All of the reviews on Amazon were extremely positive, so I decided to give them a shot. Many people claimed that the strings significantly improved the quality of their sound; That is something with which I completely agree! My sound had vastly improved, and it had inspired me to play more. If you're looking for a new set of strings, especially if you're a beginner with a good violin that hasn't been re-stringed, this is the place to go. Give these strings a try if you haven't done so in a while!.

Get them
5/5

Because I play on my own, for myself, in smaller venues, etc. , and because I hand make my own violins, I prefer a warm tone even if it means sacrificing a little projection, I was a big fan of Helicores up until this point. However, after reading reviews, I decided to give the JSI set a try. I'm blown away by these strings' performance. They're warm, clear, and resonant, and they get the sound out there in a big way. The Evah Gold E string is fantastic, but I'm new to Dominants as well, and I'm not sure the Evah adds anything to it. If the Dominant E is as good as the rest of the set, I may opt for a standard Dominant set instead. But it doesn't matter. These strings are the most comfortable in my hands and bring out the best in my violin. I'm switching to Dominants and telling my beloved Helicores that we're not going to work out.

Excellent quality
4/5

4 Stars: It sounds great, it's warm and responsive, and it's easy to set up. I've been using dominant strings since the 1990s, and they're still a good investment. My E string, on the other hand, has worn out at a rate I've never seen before. I'm not sure why, but I've been working on Bach Sonatas and Partitas for about ten hours a week for the past month and this has already happened. I'll either try something else or go back to the E strings.
