Questions & Answers

Are there replacement instrument pegs available if the holders or pegs on mine break off?

Maybe. I made no attempt to contact the seller.

Is it possible to use this stand with a 1/8 cello?

It can be adjusted; I'm not sure it'll fit a 1/8-sized cello, though. Half- a three-dimensional size I believe it could hold quarter-sized cellos, but anything smaller would be a stretch.

Can a 3/4-size bass be supported by this stand?

No, it is not going to happen.

Is the instrument going to be scratched by the neck support or the arms that hold the cello, or is it cushioned?

The cello should not be scratched by the support or arm where the neck rests. On the side of the arm/support that makes contact with the cello, a hard rubber is used. br>If you want to be extra cautious, felt padding can be used.

The black color appealed to me as well
5/5

I was hesitant because this was one of the less expensive models, but I purchased it because all of the others were too large. The legs of other models are extremely protruding. I liked the black color and the tripod style legs on this one. I was afraid that if I had to put it together, it would be wobbly and uneven because it was closed when it arrived. The shaft, on the other hand, was telescopic and could be easily extended. There was no assembly required; all I had to do was extend the shaft. The clamps are similar to open-ended clamps. close levers that can be clamped tightly on the shaft to lock in the exact length you want, allowing you to customize it to any length. I was also apprehensive about ordering this model because it lacked a bow holder. However, I was able to solve this problem by resting the bow on one of the cello's string pegs. The material is light but strong, with a pleasant smooth texture and a slight grip. The paint does not appear to be chipping, and the metal does not appear to scratch the instrument. It's small enough to fit in any corner of the room, and it's low enough to let your cello take center stage. This stand is fantastic, and I wish we had purchased it sooner. We highly recommend this product because it is of high quality, practical, functional, stylish, and simple to use. A satisfied customer!.

Cellos, on the other hand, aren't so great
3/5

The star rating is for a cello of 4/4 size. It might work for guitars, but it won't work for 4/4 or small cellos (1/8, for example). This appears to be a full-time position that was advertised. Cellos of various sizes without the end pin. It can be set up to hold a full-sized laptop computer. The end pin must be fully retracted in order to play a cello of this size. Even so, I wouldn't put a valuable cello or one in a high-traffic area in this. It's a flimsy structure. The fact that it is not adjustable for small cello sizes is perhaps the most irritating aspect. The bottom holders are not close enough together, and the minimum neck support height is excessive. It's important to note that this is a guitar stand, not a cello stand.

Cello has scuff marks on the left side
3/5

Take care not to scratch the cello's wood with the two rubber holders at the bottom of the stand. In an attempt to remove the scuff mark, I had to use a light linseed oil, but I still wasn't able to remove all of it from my $7,000 cello. The cello should not be slid against the rubber. You should be fine if you put the cello directly on the holders without sliding or rubbing the rubber/plastic.

Our full-size cello is compatible with this arrangement
5/5

My step-son's full-size cello fits perfectly in this folding stand. He has to bring it back and forth between here and his mother's house all the time, so this is a nice way to show it off while he's here, and we can store the bulky case in the basement. The bottom supports can be adjusted by extending them. There are no sturdiness issues here, but the cello is in a corner, so the chances of it being bumped are very slim. It doesn't have a place for his bow to rest, so we just put it on the bookshelf to the side of the stand, giving us peace of mind and removing the bulky case from our small living room. I give it two thumbs up!.

Although it appears to be functional, it appears to be brittle
3/5

These were purchased in pairs. The first has performed admirably, though I had to reassemble the parts that hold the cello's bottom because the tabs through which the screw passes had broken. I put it down to my daughter being a brat. The second one, on the other hand, came with those parts broken! I can only reglue once, and not before I've even used it, so I've returned the second. In conclusion - It's a good product, but don't abuse it or it'll break.

I alternate between cello and electric upright bass (EUB), which is a good value for the money
4/5

I'm using an Ingles cello/bass stand (which I highly recommend!). ) but wanted an extra stand that was easier to transport (the Ingles is very sturdy, but it's also very heavy, bulky, and not very travel-friendly). pleasant, This Peak stand is lightweight, folds up small and easily, and can be used to hold either the cello or the EUB. The instrument sits directly above the floor, and there's no way to adjust the sitting height, which is a major flaw for me, especially since it's intended for gigging. To put it another way, there will be no going back to the beginning. In between sessions, the pin is extended. It's not going to work. breaker, but I'm going to keep this one in the studio and find a new stand to take on the road. br>br>I've used other Peak instrument and music stands for years and have never been disappointed, so I'm hoping for the same with this purchase!.

Supports That Have Been Damaged Before making a purchase, exercise caution
3/5

The bottom brackets on our full-size Cello broke off, so I would not recommend this product. The first occurred within six months of purchase, and the second occurred about a year later. The brackets are made of hard plastic and are screwed into the metal tubing. Where the bracket is screwed to the bar, the plastic breaks. The stress from the cello's weight appears to be evenly distributed between the bracket resting against the metal bar and the screw itself as it rests on these brackets. After picking up the cello and replacing it on the bracket, the plastic support snaps off due to its thinness nestled against the screw. If you buy this, you might want to put a spacer between the bracket and the metal tubing to alleviate the pressure that the screw exerts on the plastic when supporting the cello's weight. Otherwise, the brackets will break after a few months of putting the cello on and off. You might as well save your money and buy something that doesn't have a cheap plastic support for the cello's bottom.

As a result, I assumed the quality was lower
5/5

We have a full-sized cello that is played by two children. The cello was left on the floor, obstructing the process. I just needed a simple, low-cost stand to protect the cello while also keeping the house tidy. I was hesitant to purchase this stand because it was the cheapest, and I assumed it would be of inferior quality. My assumptions were incorrect. It arrived in a few days, was put together by my 12-year-old son, and fits the cello perfectly. We put the stand up against a wall next to a piano, and it looks great. The stand is low-profile, so you only see the cello and not a bulky stand. I highly recommend this product, and I wish I had purchased it sooner.
