I got the Cecileo cello, not the one you have, and I have no idea what you're talking about when you say "cello peg." If you're referring to the sound post inside the cello, it's installed using a special tool through the f hole. This is something I did a lot when I was making cellos. It's not easy to pick up, and the side of the f hole is easily damaged.
It was designed for a 4/4 size, so it might be a little shaky in a 3/4.
The foam is approximately an inch thick all around and measures 17"W x 6 1/4"D on the inside. This would free up some space.

Sturdy. However, for my Montagnana 1742 copy, it is a little tight/small. The finish was chipped, and there were insect nests on the underside, and the exterior shipping packaging was flimsy. Mine had a few tears on it when it arrived. I used a raid and a rag to clean up the insect nests and a varnish pen to repair the chips, but I would not use this product on any of my other cellos.
In the last week, I've received two of these. The first had chipped wood on two corners, while the second had a large chip on one side, as shown in the photo. I will not request a third time due to the poor quality.
I've never had anything with this much damage before. I'm disappointed because it appears to be in good condition, but it has a nasty dent from something falling on it. It was a huge letdown.
Rather than carrying the cello in a case, I now use a stand, which allows me easy access to the instrument, making spontaneous and short practice sessions far more practical (and likely). This stand is well-made and will complement any decor.
This is a fantastic cello stand for displaying your instrument. It's attractive and well-made, and it's a simple way to keep your cello off the floor.
Very durable, abundant cushioning on 100% of the interior surface. My son's cello fits perfectly in this case.
This is well made, beautifully stained, and lined in velvet, and arrived on time at a great price. I'm looking forward to giving it to my daughter as a Christmas present.
