It isn't heavy enough, and the two support bars aren't properly shaped. When the cello pin is extended more than three inches, the bars aren't high enough off the ground to accommodate it. If you look closely at the photos posted by reviewers, you'll notice that the cello is on the stand, but it's also leaning against a wall or other surface for support, and the pin is always retracted. This means that if you're practicing and want to put the cello down, you'll have to pull the pin back. The entire reason I ordered this was so that I could put the cello down between pieces instead of standing it in the corner of the room while practicing.
I like how simple it is. There was no place for a bow, so I just hung it on the tuning peg. The price is extremely reasonable.
When I'm not playing the cello, this is a great little stand for displaying it in my living room. It's the perfect size for my 3/4-size cello. Also, thank you for your quick delivery.
It only takes a fraction of a second to set up, and now that I can store the cello upright, I have a lot more room on my floor. The only disadvantage is that the bow has nowhere to be stored.
The arms do not accommodate my 4/4 cello. I'd also be concerned about the back of the instrument being scratched because it rests on a piece of metal.
It was purchased for my electric cello, but it was not stable. It's a great fit for my vintage cello.
The product was uneven and flimsy. The company refused to issue a refund without a photo of the problem so that it could be fixed.
