Cello holders of this size are great! As the cello sits in the box, the bow holder can be found just behind the instrument. There are no too deep or too light tones in the color. The other reviews make no sense to me, and this item is way overpriced to me. A crack formed on one of the wood panel joints on the side after it separated a few days after arrival, There was a very rough and careless cut made at the bottom of the plastic cylinder for the pin. Typically, that spot is not visible, but it scratched my finger when I picked up the stand. Moreover, because the four feet of the stand are not quite level, the stand rocks a bit. As a final note, my Strad model cello fits very snugly, so I would recommend you avoid the purchase if your cello is wider. In my mind, if you tried to cram a Montagnana into there, the side panel would come right off.

Cello stands are very hard to photograph well and I want to highlight what a gorgeous stand this is! The interior padding is fantastic for protecting the cello while the bow recess and the design of the wood with the gold imprint make it look even better in person.
