It's a perfect fit for my full-size violin. The part that should be hovering over the tailpiece is set too low. If you don't want to use a SHOULDER rest, this rest is ideal for posture and ease of playing (depending on your neck length, arm length, finger length, and overall personal opinion/comfort). The product was complete and undamaged. a fresh appearance; bubble wrap was used to keep the package safe. A fantastic product from a fantastic seller. I intend to buy from you again.
However, it is absorbent. Moisture builds up over time, and I find myself wiping it down on a regular basis, but not often enough to cause me to miss practice. It was a little uncomfortable due to the razor burn on my neck, but who can blame us? The cork lining came with the clamp, and it was simple to put together. As my skill improves, I'll most likely need a new chinrest, and I'll start looking here first.
I just got it, and it fits my jaw so much better than the Guarneri chin rest that came with my viola. It's no longer painful to play, and it's a lot more enjoyable.
The chin rest that came with my viola was far less comfortable. It complements my shoulder rest, and more comfort equals more control. It was delivered quickly and in excellent condition. Thanks!.
