STYDDI 15"-16.5" Viola Adjustable Shoulder Rest with Collapsible and Height Adjustable Feet

This is one I really wanted to like. It's cheap, sturdy, and comfortable after a little tweaking, but the feet are hard plastic rather than the rubbery feet found on Kun. Examine the image carefully. I'm not sure if I'll use them on my viola. In addition, the screws that hold the feet in place are extremely long. If you want to move them in to fit a smaller instrument, you'll have to cut some of them off if you want to keep the height low. It's only a one-time adjustment, but it's still a pain.

I'm sorry, but I'm unable to make a comment using a long term. I've used the shoulder rest on several occasions. What I DID notice:br>Getting the correct height and tightness on the instrument was a little confusing. br>The lowest position is still a tad too high to fit comfortably between shoulder and chin. That could be a private matter that doesn't affect other adults, but it might if it's a child.

This was purchased for my daughter's 15-inch viola. She claims it is comfortable and that she uses it frequently; however, she admits that it takes her some time to get it on properly, not too tight (or the instrument will sound strange) and not too loose (or it will fall off). But, since she's ten, I'm sure some of it is due to her actually paying attention while putting it on.

The viola can use it as a shoulder rest. It comes in a nice bag, and I bought it for my daughter, who is in middle school, and she said she didn't like it. I used it for myself and found it to be very useful. This is fantastic, but it's only appropriate for adults.

It isn't as comfortable as some of the other, more expensive shoulder rests, but it is adequate. Does the job well and represents good value for money.

It's a little flimsy, that's my only complaint. I shouldn't be upset because it's well worth the money I paid for it.

This shoulder rest should have been purchased much sooner. My previous one was a pain to wear, scratched my viola, and kept falling off. Playing has become much more enjoyable as a result of this. This book comes highly recommended.
