Would a 14-inch viola work with this?

I've been using this rest since I was ten years old (everyone in orchestra class used it), and I can tell you that it's lasted 15 years through all of my sizes, from a 12"/13" viola to the 16" viola I play now. Now that I play a 16", it spans the entire width of my instrument, but it used to hang over the edges of my viola when I was playing smaller sizes.

What's the time frame here?

This rest is suitable for violas with bout sizes ranging from 8 1/8" to 10 1/8". 9 7/8".

I'm playing the viola, and I'm 17 years old. What happened to that shoulder?

It should be able to fit in the space. My shoe size is 15. In addition, the shoulder rest can be adjusted. Just to be sure, I could double-check for you.

Is there a way to fold it up?

It's comfortable to wear, but it's not very durable

For the viola, it's a good fit. It does not have to be as high as it would be on a violin. Fitting violas can be difficult due to the lack of a standard size. It helps that the Kun can be adjusted. The Kuns, on the other hand, are prone to falling apart; the foam on two of these has already fallen out. I always seem to misplace the nuts that keep the feet in place. One of the feet had become detached. I have a box full of broken Kun shoulder rests that I have to scavenge through to keep this one in working order (from smaller instruments like violins and violas over the years).

The shoulder rest is fantastic! I assumed I'd have to go to my local string shop to replace my old Kun rest, which had begun to deteriorate during my instrument's seven-year storage period

During the assembly, it broke

Bracket had broken and needed to be replaced. My daughter was overjoyed to get a new shoulder rest, but the bracket snapped as she was putting it together. (She isn't a super-powerful woman. ) human being who is powerful). The rest of it appears to be fine and comfortable, but what's the point of having a plastic bracket that will snap in half?.

Keep an eye on this! This is an adjustable rest, but it tilts my instrument and gouges the back

It's fantastic! This shoulder rest is perfect! I used to have an Everest shoulder rest, and while it was fine, I never felt completely at ease using it

I recently misplaced my Everest shoulder rest, and I'm in desperate need of a replacement because I'll be at String's camp in a few days. I decided to purchase Kun because it is widely used and has excellent reviews. It arrived a day early! It was very simple to put together and fit my 16-inch laptop perfectly. Perfectly 5" viola!
