How long will the rubber on the feet last? I've had shoulder rests similar to this in the past that scratched my instrument. ?

The rubber may loosen over time. I'm sure there are better feet that fit and don't scratch out there, but I haven't looked into it yet. Wishing you the best of luck in your hunt!

Is it possible to use this on a 4/4 violin?

I don't think it'll fit a violin, but it might fit a viola 15,5

I just found out that my son requires 250mm, so what is the measurement for this one?

The shoulder rest is one of the largest on the market. I'm still under 10 inches with a diameter of 250mm. My viola's back measures 10 inches across at its widest point, and the shoulder rest is fully extended. br>br>If your son is old enough to play an adult-sized instrument, he should be the one to choose the accessories. Because this is a costly endeavor.

I have a 16-year-old viola. 5" long and 10" wide at its widest point (near where the rest will be placed). Is this pillow going to fit?

My viola has the same problem, and it's 16 years old. My viola was too small for number 5. I recommend giving the 17-inch viola a try; it may fit your instrument.

If you've ever used a less expensive shoulder rest, you're familiar with the following issues: Cheap rubber that tears easily, mounting that rips away from the grips, and most importantly: that they are unchangeable and may cause discomfort in your shoulder This shoulder rest has been in my possession for about four years (?)

I bought it a few years ago and it's been fantastic. The metal and length can be adjusted to fit my shoulder, and it's not too heavy. It is, of course, beginning to show signs of wear now that it has been four years, but IT HAD BEEN FOUR YEARS FOR ME. All I needed to do was replace the foam padding and one of the rubber grips, which I was able to do myself. I can't say enough about how much I like this product.

I have a 16" Viola and am glad I went up a size; it fits perfectly and is the most comfortable shoulder rest I've ever used

Because I didn't have to clench down on my instrument to keep it from sliding off after the first fitting, my playing improved dramatically. I have a long neck and slender shoulders, so finding a rest that is comfortable for me has always been a challenge. I'll never go back to a Kun or any other cheap rest after discovering Bonmusica. My only complaint is that the foam is cheap and poorly adhered to the metal frame, but I can overlook this given the overall high quality of the product, and the foam is easily replaceable once it wears out.

This is the best shoulder rest I've ever used! Without a doubt, the best purchase I've ever made for my musician son! It improves posture and allows you to play more effectively! It's a little unsettling at first, but once you get used to it, you'll enjoy it! Purchasing a 1/2 size larger than your instrument is highly recommended!

I've tried a lot of different shoulder rests, and this one outperforms them all. Because of its adaptable design, it can be customized to an individual's anatomy. This piece of equipment is used by a number of professional violists, as I've noticed. Violinists, on the other hand, are in a different situation.
