There are no better rosins. The time period. The Carlsson is a dark, soft rosin that is much softer than most, but offers a grip that no other rosin can match, and lasts longer too. As I have used this for both Solo and Orchestral works, it proved to be extremely effective in both cases. I have only made an exception for Baroque music, in which the grip is displaying unusual features. As well, it melts quickly out of the window of a car, so never leave it out. I think this is the best of all Out there, there is lots of rosin.

It consistently gives the best grip on the bow hair, as well as making the instrument really sing with the vibrating strings. There is also the advantage of being able to work from home It does not leave a slick residue on the hair of the bow, like some other brands do. This is a highly recommended title!.

Grips are extra strong. It was recommended to me by a friend who was using Pop's. Compared to Pop's, I find this one to be a little more grippable. In that case, I hope you understand. To begin playing the note, it seems to be a little more difficult to get the bow to grab the string. I am still trying to figure it out, but it seems to work.
of the package is incorrect it doesn't come with the official Carlssons pack. A purple box with a sticker bearing the words "Carlssons Bass Rosin" came with mine. This rosin appears to be old, since it looks a little dry on the outside. It is a simple matter of going to your local music store or ordering from a double bass store of your choice like Lemur, Upton, or another. If the rosin is old and dry, they will be far more likely to replace it.
