For Telecaster-style guitars, the two metal prongs used to hang the guitar are too far apart. The wood portion of the guitar's neck will slide through, and the guitar's weight will be supported by the low E tuner. That isn't a good situation to be in. br>br>If you have a vice and a pair of large pliers, you can remove the rubber padding, bend the prongs to fit a Telecaster, and then replace the rubber padding. That's what I did, and it now works perfectly; however, I believe it would be difficult to achieve the desired shape without a vice. Given the popularity of Telecasters, the seller of this item should make it clear that it will not work with one. They should also include the U shape's inner dimensions so you can see if it will fit your guitar.

I didn't get to use it because I tried to hang it with command stickers, but the back isn't flush, so it wouldn't work. I hope this information is useful to anyone considering doing the same.

The product is well-made and sturdy without being overly large. Although the holder is well-padded and can rotate to accommodate angled headstocks, it is not compatible with all guitars. To work, the headstock must have shoulders on both sides of the neck above the nut. Both of my Fender Telecaster headstocks (Player and FMT) are too narrow above the nut for this holder because they lack a shoulder on the 1 string side. All of my other electric and acoustic guitars work fine, and the package included light-duty wallboard anchors, which I replaced with heavier-duty 50 anchors while using the kit's screws.

Not only is my guitar now my favorite piece of wall art, but it also serves as a constant reminder that 10 minutes is better than none, and how could I ignore it when it was right there, advertising itself? It's simple to take my guitar out and put it back in, the mount is sturdy enough that I've never worried about it breaking, and the foam has held up to months of me taking my guitar in and out multiple times a day! I have mine screwed directly into a stud, so I can't comment on the quality of the included wall anchors, but I do have more studs and I recently purchased an acoustic guitar to go with my electric. So, how did I manage to get away with it? ANOTHER OF THESE WAS PURCHASED BY ME! I cannot recommend this mount highly enough as a purchase that will improve your quality of life. This is especially true for novices. Don't let the inconvenient nature of beginning practice keep you from doing so!.

I used the included wall anchors to hang a few of these on my wall. My bass managed to pull away from the wall after a week, despite the fact that it was only a two-point support system. These will be replaced with a different model with three screw points.

I needed a quick and easy way to hang my guitar in my RV (where I keep it when I travel), but I didn't want to take up space on the floor with a stand, so this was perfect! The only issue I had was the lack of mounting screws. This was not a major issue for me because I have plenty on hand.

This particular guitar hanger appealed to me because it appeared that I would be able to get all four screws into a stud. This worked perfectly, and I am now certain that my guitar will never fall or be ripped from the wall.

With only a little pressure, the cheap pot metal plate will bend. The included mounting hardware may be suitable for hanging a picture, but it is not suitable for hanging an electric guitar. There are better wall mounts available for a lower price.
