I have a Zager guitar with a wide neck that fits perfectly.
On the wall, I have three different styles and sizes of guitars, each with at least four inches between the wall and the guitar's base.
Unless you're hanging a light acoustic guitar, I didn't use the plastic anchors and won't use them from any company. If you're hanging an acoustic in drywall, you can adjust the hole size by drilling a hole with a drill bit that's about half the size of the anchor. If you can't get the anchor all the way in (with moderate force) until the little collar on the anchor rests against the wall, switch to a larger drill bit and slightly enlarge the hole. Rep until the anchor can be seated against the wall with moderate force. For heavy electric guitars, I either go to a hardware store and purchase screws that will fit the holes in the plaque and are long enough to reach the studs behind the drywall, or I mount a board on the wall and screw the supplied screws directly into the board. I'm not sure how I feel about using plastic anchors to mount this type of hanger. There's a lot of tug-of-war going on right now. When you hang a guitar on an arm extending out from a small wooden plaque like that, you apply a force to the upper anchor.

The wood is quite nice, despite the fact that it is non-renewable. colors that go together This didn't bother me because a) wood has natural color variations, b) you can't see the wall mounts when the guitars are hanging in them, and c) if it's important to you, you can stain the wood yourself to match. br>br>The mounting hardware that comes with the wall mounts is actually my main issue. It's a no-no if you're screwing into your wall studs. issue. If you're mounting to drywall that doesn't have a stud backing, however, wall anchors are required. The included wall anchors are poor and will not support the weight of a guitar when mounted. Yes, better quality wall anchors can be purchased at a hardware or big box store to solve this problem, but it's an extra step and cost, albeit minor. Here's something I'd like to say to the vendor: If you're going to include hardware, spend the extra ten cents to ensure it's of sufficient quality to support the item's primary function. br>br>Overall, the wall mounts are appealing to me. I kept them and now use them for the guitars I mentioned earlier. I did, however, secure them with my own wall anchors, and I would strongly advise anyone buying these mounts to do the same for safety and to protect their guitars.
Most guitarists understand that they prefer to play the same guitar for a while before switching to another, which is why having a stand to hang on the wall and leave your guitar out is beneficial. The quality pleasantly surprised me, and the design is extremely fashionable! I believe it can be used in almost any room because the dark brown and black colors go with just about everything. My only criticism is that it isn't as secure as I would like, which means it could fall off in the event of an earthquake or other disaster. Those two bulbs on the end, on the other hand, keep it in place. I like that it comes in a set of three, especially considering how many guitars I have. You won't realize how much space they save until you put them to use. The installation was fairly simple, and while I don't consider myself a crazy builder, I do have more than average experience with building and installing wall mountable items, if that makes sense. I still think it's simple, and if you have a screwdriver, you'll be fine; everything else is included. I would buy them again if I needed them, but I think three is enough and I won't need to replace them anytime soon. This is for my son's room, and I purchased it. These guitar stands appeal to me greatly. They were incredibly simple to erect and have held up admirably thus far. The actual part that holds the guitar is made of soft rubber, so you won't have to worry about metal scratching your guitar head. We use these to hang a ukulele, an acoustic guitar, and an electric guitar, and they work great for all three. They look great up on the wall, too, with their dark wood finish. Overall, I would recommend purchasing a few of these for your guitars, as well as some extras in case you acquire additional guitars or string instruments.
Both wooden pieces were slightly scratched, as if they hadn't been handled with care prior to packaging. Thankfully, when it's hung on the wall with a guitar in front of it, you can't see it very well. It was very easy to assemble and mount on the wall. It's fantastic! I like it and the way it looks!.
The wood used, the overall quality, and the colors of the rods and foam for them (black vs gray like others) are all things I like. br>br>However, the middle one was damaged after being scraped by the corner of another hanger, so these need to have better internal foam packing (thicker and/or molded). br>br>In addition, the stain color and wood grain on the three hangers I received varied greatly, as they did for other customers. I don't mind because it's natural wood, and the different colors make it interesting, but if you want a consistent color, you should buy another type (all metal) or a brand that uses the same wood type. I'm still waiting for Asmuse to contact me about replacing the damaged one.
In just over an hour, I had both of them up and running. The most difficult part was aligning them because I wanted them to be perfectly side by side; unlike some reviews, you do not need to go out and buy a different screw. Because the screw is longer than the anchor, the holder can have a little more depth. The anchor holes were drilled with a drill. I really like the natural look of the wood with the black holder.
However, I agree with another reviewer that the wall anchors are a waste of money. br>It wasn't a big deal for me because I had a lot of extras in the garage. However, if you don't, be prepared to visit a hardware store or purchase a new set.
According to the description, it can hold guitars, violins, ukeleles, and other instruments if the small ends are adjusted, but this was not the case for me. I didn't think it was safe to hang my instruments from these. The wood backing is also much smaller in person than it appears in the photos. Regrettably, I must return them. It might have worked for my guitar, but I wasn't going to put my faith in it to support the weight.
