Questions & Answers

Are these compatible with the Prs Standard 24 (made in Indonesia)?

Yes, I believe that is correct.

Will these fit into an Epiphone SG Special Edition without needing to be modified?

They aren't going to appear out of nowhere. br>I got mine this morning. The date is July 4, 2022, and the time is 3:00 p.m. 02 a. I worked my tail off, got home, and unscrewed everything except the mail and female parts, which were difficult to screw together, and the pole piece did not go through the hole. Now I need to find a drill bit with a diameter of 22 millimeters.

Hello! If you can squeeze into a Les Paul left-handed guitar, you're good to go. handed?

When I ordered these tuners, I received something completely different than what I had requested, so be cautious of this seller.

What is Musiclilly, and why should you care about it? These don't appear to be genuine Wilkinson tuners, do they?

Musiclily merely acts as a distributor. These are genuine, as I purchased them. Wilkinson tuners are what I got, and they're fantastic.

These, I believe, are fakes
3/5

I'm pretty sure these aren't official Wilkinson knockoffs. These, I believe, are fakes. I've ordered several from Wilkinson in the past, and they came in various packaging, had no tooling marks, and were of good quality chrome. In comparison to the others, one of the tuners also feels rough. br>br>These came in a Musiclily package, and they have deep tooling marks all over (mostly on the washers and posts), as well as chrome that appears to be bubbling up around the machine housing. br>br>In addition, one of the mounting nuts had been stripped. To fix it, I had to use a thread file. br>br>I'm using them anyway because they're going on a cheap Indiana Scout acoustic, and saving money is the goal. All I wanted was for it to work.

These Tuners are a drop-in replacement for the originals
4/5

on my Firefly FF338 as a replacement. These Tuners are a great place to start if you're looking for something a little more unique. on my Firefly FF338 in place of the low-cost original tuners My original tuners were clumsy, which is a common complaint with Firefly guitars. br>br>I was able to fit the new tuners into all of my Firefly FF338's existing holes. The alignment screw holes on the back of my headstock are included in this. The alignment screws were slightly thicker (which is a good thing), but they went in without the need to drill a larger hole. These screws were the same depth as the original alignment screws. br>br>It was a breeze to string the new tuners. I simply followed the instructions that came with the photos in this product's listing and watched a few YouTube videos. br>br>The tuners' travel is smoother than the cheap tuners that came with the Firefly FF338 and it appears to stay in tune more consistently so far than before. br>br>I took away one start because the sleeves that bolt down from the top of the tuners through the holes in the headstock were a little grimy when I tried to finger tighten them when I was installing them. To turn the sleeve down into the tuners' base, I had to use a 10mm socket tool. They went in without a hitch, but they weren't smooth enough to finger tighten without a tool. All of the tuning machine heads turned freely except one, which provided some resistance at one point but then turned smoothly after that. br>br>One of the strings broke while I was putting them on the new tuners (I was using the old strings on the new tuner, so there could have been a kink in the string that caused it to break). This made me realize that changing the string on these EZ-Sticks is a lot easier than I thought. Tuners for locks may be difficult to come by. Because the string was so tightly wound near the tuning post, I had to remove it with a jeweler's screwdriver and needle nose pliers. I change all of the strings when I change one. All of the strings were difficult to remove, so I'm just pointing out a flaw in the design of these tuners, which lock in place very well, perhaps too well.

Firefly FF338 is a fantastic game
5/5

These were purchased for the Firefly FF338 run, which started on July 8th or so. I was going to replace them myself, but instead I took them to the guitar tech, who installed them and said they fit perfectly. They have a fantastic ability to keep a tune.

Fits the semi-hollow Firefly 338 guitar
5/5

Aloha- br>I was given a Firefly 338 by a friend, which is a replica of the Gibson ES335. br>The guitar was out of tune. Tuners and bridge are both in need of replacement. Both of these things are a waste of time. These tuners were purchased by me. Because it's a cheap Firefly, I didn't want to spend a lot of money on it. These Wilkinson tuners were 100% better than the stock tuners, much to my surprise. AND- The small screw on the backs of the six tuners matched the same screw hole on the back of the headstock perfectly. (In the mounted position, this small screw keeps the individual tuners from turning. ) On the back of the headstock, I didn't have to have any unsightly holes. The tuners do a fantastic job. smoooooth, smoooooth, smoooooth, br>When it comes to the locking mechanism- The instructions were missing. You can watch a video about it on YouTube, but I chose not to use it. Tuners that lock up are no longer in use. In my opinion, it is rated. br>If you own an FF338 guitar, Tuners and bridge should both be replaced. Period. It'll cost you around $45 to get started.

Failure in the manufacturing process
3/5

Locked/crossed threads are the result of poor threading quality. The paint chips/flakes off easily with light scratches, and the dimensions/tolerances make for a sloppy installation. I abandoned the second peg and replaced it with a pair of Grovers. The Grovers, on the other hand, have had no such problems. Also, these came in MusicLily-branded Chinese factory bulk packaging, so don't buy them thinking they'll be a better deal than generics. Thankfully, Amazon has excellent customer service and promptly refunded my money.

There isn't a true locking feature here
3/5

The holes in the string were extremely sharp. The screw holes in the back holes lined up, so I bought these (in chrome). The fit was excellent, far superior to those on a low-cost electric I purchased. br>This isn't a real locking feature. For a locking string wrap, there's a second string hole on these. br>I wrapped the top and put stings in the bottom holes. A couple of strings were broken when the edges of the bottom holes were too sharp. If I hadn't had to chamfer the string holes, this would have been a relatively simple install.

This isn't a locking tuner in the traditional sense
4/5

They aren't true locking tuners, and this is my second set of them. There are two holes 90 degrees apart, one above the other, into which you thread your string and wrap it around before passing it through the other hole. This holds up well, but I wouldn't use it on a tremolo or a bigsby type trem because I'm afraid it'll come loose. I was skeptical when I first received my set, but they performed admirably, so I ordered another.

Not a great start
3/5

I purchased Wilkinson tuners because I had previously purchased some and found them to be excellent, but it appears that the name was purchased by a Chinese company (I assume) and they are no longer so excellent. Good tuners are what you're looking for. Stew Mac's is where you should go. For $40, you can get the old school split post tuners (which hold tune just as well as any locking tuner; why no one made them is beyond me; they're hard to come by) which are far superior to these. I'd buy them here if they were available, but they aren't, so I'll have to look elsewhere.
