Questions & Answers
There is no way to tell. It is almost always stated in the ads for retrofit tuners what the hole the tuner should fit into needs to be in order to fit well. Find out what size the holes on YOUR guitar are and measure them. The smaller diameter sleeves can be made to fit the larger hole if you want to alter YOUR guitar, but the bigger diameter sleeves are hard to come by. Lastly, double check all tuners to be sure the mounting screws fit into both holes. It will be necessary to drill new screw holes if you do not already have them. It has the old holes on the back of the headstock that are unused. You may want to hire a professional to help you sort through these answers if you are overwhelmed by them. You WILL have to spend money to get it done right, but if the tuner holes are the same size and the mounting screw holes on the back are the same, you will be able to replace it fairly easily.
My PRS SE Custom 24 fitted perfectly with the chrome set. You can see the set screw holes on the back of the guitar.
They work great after I drilled holes but I had to drill holes
The tuner_machine had to be looked at in order to answer your question, but in trying to answer your question I had found the dimensions for drilling new holes. What makes these replacement neckstocks smart is to point out that they are Les Paul and similar guitar style neckstocks. In order to answer your question, I have discovered that they are for a Les Paul guitar type, and the product you were looking for is scroll the photos of the tuners to see how they work but yes, they will work. It is extremely important to drill a very small hole for tie screws, not much of a hole if you do not want the screw to break. Don't use a drill to sink the screws too far or it will strip and you will have to upgrade to a larger one
Selected User Reviews For Musiclily Pro 3x3 Guitar Locking Tuners Tuning Pegs Keys Machine Heads Set for Les Paul Style Electric or Acoustic Guitar, Black
A locking tuner on my current guitar snapped off due to wear and tear. I purchased this set to replace it. I hate it! Although I only needed 1 of them (the D string), I had to order all 6 (or wait over a year for a single tuning peg to arrive As a test, however, I installed all 6 of these Musiclily Pro 3R3L Guitar Locking Tuners on my guitar. The results? They work "Ok", but they presented a tuning problem. I found that they slipped after tuning up, and that they had a lot of "play" in them when tuning up from a slack Obviously, they are not as good as the ones I originally installed on my current Schecters, so I removed five of them and kept only the one I needed. Is it likely that I will A low-end guitar with a tremolo (like a Squire), which needs better tuning stability without a Floyd Rose, maybe there's a place for it There are tuning machines out there that have locking tuners similar to a rose nut, but even they do not seem to be as good as these.
The standard tuners they sell were fine when I used them before. They are, however, inferior in terms of locking tuners. The screws need to be aligned perfectly to keep the installation straight, but the alignment is slightly out of whack, which causes crooked joints. .
. It is matte rather than chrome finished, and the washer and nut are dull. The result is an ugly appearance. 1. 2. 3. The music does not hold tune, at least not consistently, as noted in other reviews. In some cases, the locking mechanism does not apply uniform pressure on the strings, resulting in strings.
We don't keep the Tuners in tune as well as we Every time I use it, I have to adjust the tuning a little. .
. My new strings were being cut through by the tips of some of the Locking Tuner pins, so I needed to smooth them off with an emery board. I was able to smooth the pin tips off and they worked beautifully!.
The locking tuners are perfect for my Les Paul, and they provide a good fit. Tab and hole of the locating screw lined up as if it came from the factory. Considering the price, I think it is a good deal. The only thing I would change is the description of the gloss/matte level on the black version I purchased.
This is awesome! A total drop of - The replacement tuners for a Mark Tremonti SE guitar replace the touchy PRS SE tuners. There is no need to drill or calibrate, and they lock and function perfectly! I couldn't be happier with my new.
The two guitars I have installed them on are both Acoustics. They fit right on one guitar, but on the second I had to drill new holes because they did not fit nicely. This is a great product, and their price is excellent.
My previous purchase was for a project I started that never got off the ground. Then I shot these with my Schecter C-42 with a bit of hesitation Although my Schecter is great, I always felt like I was constantly returning, especially since it was a stock model with stock posts. I was able to drop right in, the fit was perfect, and alignment was great. The same strings I recently installed are on the new strings I just It took some initial stretching and returing, and I hit some heavy Duane Eddy and Dick Dale, and for about an hour it stayed pretty steady -- just a little tweak to 440 on the way. As to the longevity, we'll have to see, but it's still a good buy for the price.
Post these on my own ESP/LTD EC I have the perfect fit with 256! It was also possible to switch out the tulip buttons on the factory tuners with the My EC-style tuners look almost exactly like those that came with the car from the factory This is a delux version. It feels like a quality tuner, comparable to other name brands I've used in the past, and at a quarter of the cost. If I have to buy this brand again, I will do so.
