Putting this on my LP kit guitar just gives it a different look, and maybe it increases sustain, but just for the look alone, it was worth the money. As I put the strap button on the upper screw the plate hung over the back as if it was intended for a thicker body guitar than Les Pauls. I bent the tip in a vice until it snapped and now it fits perfectly. Thank you.
In a nutshell, This is a great tail piece. The slots are a little tricky when resting ingredients, but I think this may just be a user issue, so I don't want to complain about it.
The design of the tailpiece is very nice, it seems to be of sturdy construction but the chrome finish has several flaws. It looks like the chrome has a lot of tiny bumps. That's too bad!.
It was a great fit for the tailpiece. The screws had to be mounted into pilot holes that were drilled before they could be installed. I am very happy with the final fit and finish. The angle of the bridge to the tailpiece was really perfect.
It was intended to replace the original tailpiece on my Egmond guitar (1960). It is much better to have the solid ends, now there are no more strings being cut. I was also very pleased with the shipping, it was nicely packaged and no damage occurred.
My les paul solid looks great with this. Exactly what I expected for the price!.
