The mounting hole spacing is 1 inch across the top, 25/32 inch across the bottom, and 1 inch across the middle. On center, 5/16" from top to bottom. br>br>If you have a fretless Mexican Fender Jazz Bass, you must purchase these specific tuning machines. All of the other tuners I purchased were too small for this neck. br>br>Finding the right tuners for that Mexican neck was a pain in the neck, but I hope my response helps others on their musical journeys.

With only three tuners, there's not much you can do

There were supposed to be four tuners, but I only got three. Due to this packaging error, I am still unable to put my bass back together after completely disassembling it for a project. This is a significant annoyance. Quality control seems to have been abandoned by Fender - and it's not just because they're a little too cocky. guitars at a reasonable price br>br>Be on the lookout for faulty batches.

Squier gets a great upgrade - A tuner hole of 11/16" (18mm) is required

These were purchased to replace the tuners on my Squier Bronco Bass. This set spins much more smoothly and stays in tune than my original Squiers. They're a great upgrade, and at only $23, they're a steal. This set comes with the following items: ONLY TUNERS ARE ALLOWED. There are no screws, ferrules, or bushings. Fit: br>br>Size: br>br>Size: br>br>Size If you're installing these on a Squier bass, keep in mind that you might need to enlarge the headstock holes. The peg size is 11/16" (18mm) on these tuners. Squiers come in a variety of sizes. These will work perfectly with Fender MIM precession and jazz basses. br>br>In the end, these are genuine Fender bass tuners. They're high-quality Fenders at a reasonable price. When a product like this is available, there's no reason to buy generic.

Right- Jazz bass played by hand in reverse

They were comfortable to wear and could be reversed for a left-handed neck. In fact, it'd be considered correct- Because it's a right-handed person, reverse the hand. Bass is played by hand. Anyway, I'm very pleased with this purchase because it fits a mim neck perfectly.

Mine is a little dimply in appearance. They perform admirably. Mine has a little dimply metal, but that's fine. This bass is of no importance to me. I had no idea my Squier's tuners were so small. If you're replacing them on a Squier, keep in mind that you may need to drill out the holes a little. To me, it wasn't such a big deal.
