The original nut on my Glarry GIB Bass cracked at the G string groove after I bought it on Amazon. This nut was a perfect match for the original. Yes, it's still a plastic nut, but it's a bit thicker than the original, so it should last a little longer. I bought a second as a backup because it was so inexpensive.
And I had to wait for a month because the technician was booked! I took measurements and looked for a vendor who offered what I hoped would be exactly what I needed. Let me tell you something. TAADAAA. It was a perfect fit and a huge money saver!.
Although it is plastic rather than bone and has a low nut for a bass guitar, there is nothing wrong with it as long as it is tall and high enough to fit your neck.
