My guitar looks great with black nuts. My previous nut had broken, so I went out to get a new one. While shopping for nuts, I came across the Black Tusq self-lubricating nuts and decided to give them a try. After a little shaping and handwork, this nut fit perfectly around my neck. My guitar now has amazing sustain and stamina, and I've never had a nut like this before. This nut has a spherical shape to it.
You're an outstanding nut! It's the perfect match for my Dean Exotica acoustic! I didn't have to sand or slot anything because it fit perfectly right out of the box. Also, the tone is slightly sweeter, so it's well worth the money. Also, the vendor was fantastic!.
My Taylor 414ce now has a nice finishing touch. The factory Tusq nut was replaced with this one, as were the saddle and bridge pins. The endurance has now reached new heights. I'm not sure why high-end guitar brands like Taylor, Martin, and others don't use the best components right out of the box. On guitars that cost more than $2000, we're talking about $50 for all three parts. My guitar has a sound that no other guitar in the store can match. Anyway, this is a fantastic upgrade that I strongly recommend.
I was given an EMPTY box. I really like the product, and I've used it before, but I've never received an empty box.
You're good to go if you can find the right nut for your guitar. I'll never use another product, and I've just placed an order for one for my vintage Martin. My old Ovation Balladeer got a new tone after I replaced the funky plastic nut on it.
Because I have fat fingers, this is a great way for me to get a little more space between the strings on my LP. All that's left is to sand the ends down a little.
