That made me nervous as well, but I decided to take a chance. It was a perfect fit for my 5-string Squire Jazz Bass.

Neck binding is required for jazz basses

This is a good product, but it's cut for an American Jazz bass with neck binding, so keep that in mind. The bottom radius is notched on both ends to accommodate where the binding goes under the nut, rather than having a smooth bottom cut as shown in the listing. Not for models of Mexican jazz bass guitars!.
