Questions & Answers
These have a flat top, but I'm not sure if they're included in American standards. They go well with my Mexican Jazz.
These knobs will work with your Telecaster without a problem.
They're both knurled, which means they have small beaded ridges on the outside for gripping, and solid shaft pots have set screws to secure them in place.
It's impossible that they're made of aluminum because they're far too heavy. They're made of brass or steel, depending on which you prefer. Brass is most likely. Not pot metal, but quality.

These knobs were purchased to go with my Squire P- After soldering in some premium pots and realizing that the old knobs wouldn't fit, I built a bass. These textured knobs have a great look and feel to them, but the set screw doesn't hold them in place very well. I've had to tighten them several times after they start spinning erratically during band practice; I'm going to try a little Loctite thread locker to see if that helps.
Knobs with knurled chrome aren't all the same. I prefer a grippy side texture so I can easily adjust the tone with a quick swipe of my finger. That's how it is. They're also reassuringly heavy, thanks to the set screws' sturdy machining. br>A set of rounded top knobs of comparable quality cost me much more. These are a good price and are close to perfect for my split-screen setup. coil P- bass.
With a 1/4 inch smooth-surfaced surface, this works great. pot with a shaft These were purchased as part of a wiring kit for a Tone Shaper. The 1/4 CTS pots were too big for my old Squire knobs. br>I considered a few other possibilities, but these Fender knobs were only a buck or two more. If the difference in price is only a few dollars, why not go with the original? br>br>The knobs are simple to install and have held up well so far. It has a nice feel to it, with a quilted diamond texture that is easy to turn up or down. They have a nice look to them and a solid feel to them.
I'm in the midst of putting in a four-bedroom house. I decided to just go ahead and rewire the entire switch plate on my Squier CV 50s Telecaster. I bought some full-size pots from the CV, which had mini pots. I bought CTS pots in the wrong size, thinking the old knobs would fit, but they don't. These Fender knobs are fantastic. They appear to be heavier than the Squier knobs, but they have the same feel.
These fit better than the cheaper ones I ordered, and because of the added weight, they were much smoother to operate. The expensive ones looked like they were wearing shorts rather than long pants because they covered the entire shaft.
There are no complaints because this is an official Fender part that fits perfectly and is well made. They have a nice weight to them, and they're all made of metal. Unlike some other low-cost knobs, this one does not contain any plastic pieces.
I gave my ten-year-old Squire Tele, which I adore, a complete overhaul. New pots, pickups, and switch. The old knobs didn't fit the new American-sized pots, but these do.
It's difficult to keep them from slipping if you don't tighten them enough. The next time I go shopping, I'll go after market.
