Questions & Answers

Will it work with a dual showman from 1968?

It should fit a 1968 Dual Showman just fine. These pilot lights should work with original Fender amps from the 1960s and 1970s. Don't hesitate to purchase it. It'll do the trick and fit like a glove.

Is it possible to use these with any amplifier?

It is compatible with the majority of vintage Fender amps as well as newer American amps. It will not work with MIM amps or other modeling Fender amps.

Is there a "contained" glow from the bulb? I also received a 6 on the same scale. B47 at 3 volts, but it's blindingly bright. ?

This bulb gives off a "contained" glow and a rich jewel color, at least in my opinion. Red is the color of my amplifier's jewel. It isn't overly bright, but it is sufficiently bright.

Is this something that would work in a 1964 blackface competition?

It appears to be the case. This type of pilot light is found on the majority of Fender amplifiers from the 1960s and 1970s.

It did exactly what it said it would do
5/5

After my previous bulb burnt out, this is exactly what I needed. I have to order these bulbs because they are hard to come by where I live. They're a little longer and easier to put together than my previous ones. These old Fender type jewel pilot lights have a classic 60's guitar amp look to them, and I especially like the red one that came with my amp. The packaging was a little concerning, but they worked fine and were a reasonable price, in my opinion.

Preferred Part
5/5

Replaces the bulb in my Fender Hot Rod Deluxe IV that had burned out. If at all possible, use OEM parts. Installing it was a bit of a pain. Pushing in and twisting the bulb should be done with caution.

I bought this T47 pilot light to replace the one on my Fender 63 Reverb
5/5

It fits perfectly and looks exactly like the original. It works well and is well-fitting. It is, after all, a Fender Pure Vintage guitar. The light is identical to the one that had been on the amp for 23 years. As a result, these tiny light bulbs will last for a long time. I only hope the new ones last as long as the old ones did. I would recommend them to anyone who is restoring or replacing the pilot light on a vintage or modern Fender amplifier.

The 1978 Fender Bassman 10 is a perfect match
5/5

Fits my vintage 1978 Fender Bassman 10 amplifier perfectly. This amp was bought new for me by my father, and I'm in the process of restoring it. For the past thirty years or so, there hasn't been any light. This is a great option.

A live Fender amp is given back its "Essence of Presence
5/5

" Fit & My 1962 Fender Concert Amp lit up perfectly. Thank you for providing the lamp that allowed a live Fender amp to regain its "Essence of Presence": The Red Jewel is a mysterious object.

To install in a Fender BDRI, press down and turn the knob
5/5

It works great, but if you have an amp that shakes them to death, it will most likely be a recurring issue. Gold- That is, FYI, what backed Celestions will do.
