Questions & Answers

Does anyone know about a "hot" (extra loud) string such as Do you have a baritone version of this?

There is definitely a great response to bass when using this pickup in a Martin D-style guitar I have no problems with any string being louder than the others even though my strings are 18 and I have to cut the bass. Check the pickup on my bridge and make sure it is getting good contact all the way across. This might not help, so if you won't consider the microphone placement, it might be a frequency that is hitting the microphone in a certain manner. when it comes to the warm tone it provides and the fact that I have not experienced any problems with it. I wish you luck in everything you do!

Do you think it will fit my Taylor 314CE?

I have installed the Anthem in several Taylor guitars with the body size of Auditorium and had no issues installing it. I was lucky enough to interview Brian Meader, Sales Manager at The

I have a question about nylon string. Will it work? I only have nylon strings on my guitar. Why do we not have ?

I am L. Good to hear from you. ANTHEM is an acoustic guitar pickup for steel strings from Baggs. In fact, there is an Anthem SL Classical that is designed It is gracious of you to show interest in my work.

Should this item not be able to be installed on my guitar, can I return it? According to some articles, it will not work in every guitar. ?

You may be able to return it if you speak with a guitar tech before buying the pickup. If you consult with them before purchasing, they might be able to tell you if it fits. You might want to call LR Baggs first. About the only reason it wouldn't fit is how the control unit needs to fit in the headphone jack. There may be a little bit of a tight squeeze on some smaller guitars because of the inside top bracing.

It rejects instrument cables, picks up the chatter of a mobile phone, and the adjustment knobs are not well marked
3/5

Although this pickup sounds great, there are a couple of things that need to be addressed. The first is that the jack input does not accept my instrument cable. As I played on stage, both of the cables I tried gradually came out and made noise through the PA, especially as I tried to plug them The jack may need to be replaced. There is also a problem with it picking up cell phone conversations. Thus, make sure you turn off your cell phone when playing and ask your band mates Putting them on airplane mode is the least you can do. br>In addition, you should also be aware that if you are tuning your guitar on stage and other members of the band are making noise, you should turn the mix knob all the way to the transducer so the mic does not pick up any Considering this a natural side effect of using this pickup method, I have no problem accepting it. it might be helpful to have more clear markings showing you which direction represents the microphones and which represents the transducers. As soon as I turn it, I must listen for any changes. It would also be useful if you could choose whether or not to use incremental click/stop, so you could quickly get back to your favorite setting. In the event that I adjust all the way to the transducer, it would be wonderful if I could select my favorite blend by clicking the 6( button? turns around and stops in the opposite Furthermore, it does not appear clear which side is volumne and which side To deal with it, you have to put your face One day, I'll remember which one The problem is that I have a bad memory.

In The Anthem Baggs Delivers Bringing your guitar the best in sound, power, and fidelity
5/5

I was skeptical about L as there is so much hyperbole about products by manufacturers. Until I hooked up and played our first set, Baggs claims the Anthem acoustic pickup makes all the sense in the world. That's so cool! The item does not only conform with what the manufacturer (and its posts on Amazon / You Tube) claimed, it EXCEEDS those claims as well. Thanks to my Taylor 714CE, I now have the sound I was looking for. Following previous attempts to install pickups (two other ones), I doubted that we could make a pickup that was free of the aweful peizo "quack, ping" sound, or to avoid too much "boominess" coming from the guitar. An Anthem solves this problem by not magnifying the signal from the body of the guitar, but by being pointed at the bottom of the top on the inside of the guitar and ignoring the sound bouncing around the After further genius, Baggs also devised an ingenious way to subvert An emphasis on the midrange is achieved through a saddle pickup Those strings are the range and the bass. It is generally a good idea to ignore the treble frequencies (G,B,E) to avoid the unpleasant sounds that most peizo pickups produce. By capturing (and amplifying) high frequencies, the microphone captures the sound. It's easy to tailor the system to suit your guitar with the end result. In addition to the good amplification, with this amp I was able to cut through the mix of the rest of my band (including I like how the amplification comes in at just the right volume for my strumming or plucking of Even while I ranged from heavy/fast strumming to fingerpicking on the high strings, it was relatively easy to play without having to change the volume even with the volume set fairly high (about 3/4). What I love is that once the mic is adjusted such that feedback is eliminated, it does it The feedback has been eliminated! The volume was cranked up incrementally because I did not want our sound guys to be alarmed, but finally I had my monitor positioned on the floor to my left and was at the maximum volume. The rear is the position I use for all my acoustics to reduce Whatever the volume of my music. I have not received any feedback. The extremely irritating aspect of the Taylor's included Fishman Prefix was that it interfered with my ability to avoid feedback while performing. To avoid feedback when performing, I had to turn the mic off completely and rely on the under-mics You pick up your saddle with a strap. There was a problem with it because it did not have enough sensitivity to capture high strings without adding too much boom to My guitar did not have the natural sound of it when unplugged, but the amplified version did. I tried every switch, slider, notch, contour combination that I could think of. It was difficult for me to drop my acoustic lead riff in the mix when I needed it. As a result, I am now able to add trills and hammer-ons A pull-on, a cuff All you have to do is raise your hands and let them be heard, and that's as beautiful and as simple When other guitarists come up to you and ask how you get that nice tone, you know you have something special. Is it perfect? No, it comes very close to reproducing the sound of my unplugged Taylor, but not in exactly the same way. When the amplitude is increased, there is a bit more brightness, and it amplifies artifacts like finger movements and body sounds, but there is no way to get rid of them It is only through better technique and less carelessness about where and when you contact the body that you can begin to achieve results. Additionally, I would love if Baggs put center-stage he has become accustomed to with the There are nothing to indicate when using the mix or volume controls since they are hidden below the sound-in There is no real way to adjust the settings unless you feel them, particularly on stage when there is little time to inspect the settings as you play. However, those adjustments become less important as time goes on Just like in the rest of guitar playing, you have to practice playing the correct chort-shape before your hands automatically take on the correct action. In reality, it's not really a big deal, because the proportional sensitivity of the pickups makes it so little work to adjust the volume, you just need to adjust your playing, and you'll be able to make it sound wonderful. Since I usually do my adjustments at the pedal board anyway, I usually do all my adjustments there as well. Getting the bridge up and running was straightforward according to Baggs online instructions, but you'll have to drill holes in the bridge, which some people You don't need to worry, everything will work out fine. While the adhesive strips used to hold the amplifier in place were not thick enough to allow it to clear one of the interior braces, Baggs includes additional strips, and doubled over the originals, the amp cleared the braces and fits perfectly inside the four-door vehicle. The sound hole measures one inch in diameter. An end goal would be great if you already have one The pin jack installation only takes about an hour, but you won't even notice how much time it took once you hear how your guitar sounds This book is well deserved of five stars. Baggs has made me wonder what the sound of an archtop jazz guitar would be like if this system was installed. L. deserves a big congratulations. You have bags!.

This is a great pickup truck
5/5

Martin 00015M is not compatible with this part. There is no way to use the Martin 00015M with the oversized controls. For my Martin 00015M, I purchased this. There is a problem with the bracing on the 00015M, as it has the "A" style bracing. The braces are taller because of this. You won't be able to assemble the guitar with the controls flush with the top due to the height of one of the small cross braces. It was pretty easy and easy to place the pickup system and hold it in place with There was one set that I played (45 minutes) and it was awesome. A LR Baggs Venue DI was used to process the guitar. It didn't take me long to tweak the project. I just wanted to add a little presence and improve It did end up that I replaced the Anthem SL with the Anthem SL after I removed the Anthem. Since I did not want the bigger unit held in place by masking tape, I didn't want that to be an option. This Anthem SL is a perfect fit, and it fits without a Additionally, I have played live with the SL, and I did not have to modify any of my EQ settings. The SL unit does not have an adjustment for presence, but the ones that do are basically the same thing. You should, therefore, make sure that the bracing you use for this truck does not exceed the height of the Anthem's control unit when you look at this pickup. When I fitted the unit in my 816, the unit simply didn't fit This is a 414 and it works well. It is amazing the pickup is so good! I give it five stars! One of my Taylor guitars may need to have one to use in it, so I may keep it. This guitar has a much fuller tone that is more true to its body. When you switch to finger style, you still get rich lows, and the highs are still there, allowing you to cut through any When playing your guitar, this is the pickup you should use so that you can project the true tone. LR Baggs DI pick ups are also a great pick up if you already have DIGIC system from LR Baggs.
