Wire made from this material holds a lot of similarity to the materials used for frets in the 1960s, which fits perfectly for refretting vintage instruments. This is a high quality nickel and silver, so it is relatively soft when compared to stainless steel used in jumbo frets today. It was used to refret the first 12 frets of the first Italian bass I owned in 1964 The EKO Florentine 360/2V electric guitar was made in Italy. I was able to perfectly match the original frets with its 9 frets. In a radius of five feet. Four frets are produced from each 8" length, so one package creates 40 frets or about three fret works.
