My open-back five-string banjo, which I also use for my Irish tenor banjo, fits perfectly. There is, in fact, a strap. This is a case that I really like.

With plenty of padding, it's comfortable to wear as a backpack. Pattern is adorable, and the case is one-of-a-kind. So far, it appears to be extremely durable.
I bought it to go with my Mike Ramsey Open Back Banjo. Scale is 25 1/2" on a 12" rim. It's the right size. The zippers appear to be of good quality and function properly. My Cromebook fits perfectly in the front compartment, which is great. The top compartment is ideal for storing a cellphone, as well as pens, pencils, and a toothbrush. This case's padding isn't particularly thick. It's great for wandering around a festival, but when it's time to pack up the car, I'd recommend putting it back in a hardcase. The straps are soft and easy to adjust. I like my tops to be loose so that the top sits low behind my head. br> I have only one complaint: The strange little velcro security strap that wraps around the neck is poorly placed and made of a material that could scratch the skin. A different scale might change this, but mine was right where my 5th string was, making using this strap awkward, so I decided to cut it out completely. br> I enjoy carrying a fashionable case. The standard black options are fine, but this case reminds me of something I might have seen for sale in a Grateful Dead concert parking lot. I believe I had a pair of shorts with the same pattern once upon a time.
It's a good case for the money, and it's exactly what I'm looking for! I also like the design; in fact, I think it's my favorite case style. wise. br>br>Now, I'll say that the inside of the case is different from most cases I've had; it's not the plastic-like interior that I'm used to. The silky kind is a coarser fabric, so keep that in mind depending on your preferences. br>br>It also had a small fabric error on the front (see third image) and was sewn together unevenly. It's not a big deal for me because I bought it for function, and I think this cute bag does the trick!.
The design is unique and stylish, and it protects my instrument well. It would be preferable if the case were thicker. My soft guitar case, on the other hand, is more substantial. I also have to be careful not to snag the thread that decorates the outside of the case if I want it to last for years, but I'm very pleased with my purchase and would buy it again.
This is fantastic! My Deering Goodtime2 resonator is a good fit. Material and construction are of high quality. So cool!.
If it had fit my banjo, I would have liked it. It was a couple of inches too short. It was my fault; I should have measured instead of assuming it was made for a standard banjo length.
Love it. It's well-made. My open back banjo fits perfectly in this case; it's very attractive and well-padded. Exceeded my expectations in every way.
It's a perfect fit for my banjo! Everything appears to be in order. There are more zipper pockets than I had anticipated, which is a good thing. I was concerned that it would not provide adequate protection for car travel, but it is ideal and I would purchase it again.
