I recently bought a banjo and needed a hard case to protect it. This is the perfect match for my Deering Goodtime 2 banjo, and it doesn't let me down. There's also a lot of cubby space for the tuner. picks.
This is an AMAZING CASE at an incredibly low price for the quality! FedEx delivered it on time and in good condition. I was blown away by the case's quality and craftsmanship. My banjo's resonator body fits snugly and securely into the soft plush liner. My banjo, too, is a drop-dead gorgeous instrument. It has a roomy neck and a comfortable fit. With a weight of around ten pounds, this case is quite substantial. It also comes with a nice leather-covered shell. There are five antique latches, one of which can be locked with a key if desired. There are brass supports on one side and on the edge of the case to protect it when it is set down. The leather-covered handle is well-balanced and attractive. It feels good in your hand when you're playing the banjo. Inside, there's a large accessory compartment that can hold all of your travel essentials. This case is so attractive that I almost felt compelled to purchase a new banjo to fit it! Lol! The attention to detail is exceptional. It even has a bronze manufacturer's nameplate that is riveted on. I can't think of a reason why you'd want or need a better case. That being said, go ahead and purchase one; you will not be disappointed! Cheers! Jerry.
First and foremost, I am not a banjo player and have little knowledge of them or their cases, but I am a guitarist who owns a variety of brands. For each of them, I also bought hard cases. If I were to review a guitar hard case, I would say that this case is fantastic value for money. It has all of the features I would expect from a more expensive case, despite being in the middle of the price range. In the end, it completely protects the banjo and does exactly what it claims to do. This is a case that I strongly recommend. If I discover any flaws, I will update this review.
The case is well-made and fits my 5-string guitar well, with one minor snag. The case's body section is deeper than the neck rest in terms of dimension on the plane. I solved this by placing the folded microfiber towel I use to wipe down my instrument under the drum, creating a soft rest and lifting the instrument just enough to level it out. Aside from that, it's exactly what it says on the tin.
I purchased this case as well as a plastic case that was recommended as a replacement, but I prefer the vintage look and prefer this case. The only drawback is that it doesn't fit my open back banjo as well as it should because the case is deep, but this is easily remedied with a towel.
However, not in the way that the description indicated. EDIT: Okay, I might have gotten ahead of myself with my review. I'm downgrading from a 5 to a 3 star rating. The metal feet mentioned in the pictures were one of the reasons I purchased this case. There aren't any in my new photos, as you can see! Hopefully, they simply forgot about them, and your case will be complete with the feet. It's comforting to know that it's immune to temperature and humidity fluctuations. It's incredibly durable and well-made, and it also looks like hell. For this price, you won't be able to find a better case.
My God, this is a fantastic case for a banjo, whether you're a beginner or a pro, I believe this case does its job well. It's sturdy on the outside but soft on the inside to protect your Banjo. My banjo and case, both of which I purchased on Amazon, are shown in the photo. Thank you to everyone.
According to another reviewer, it fits a DeeringG gootimeE 2 perfectly. It cradles the neck in two places, which is extremely important: , as well as frets 3 and 15. A total of five latches are included in the case. The case is covered in tough vinyl with a tweed print, with two on the handle side, two on the bout, and one on the hinge side. The handle is of excellent quality and is extremely comfortable to hold. While no one enjoys entrusting a musical instrument to airline baggage handlers, I believe this case would keep the banjo safe if I had to.
