'I'm not sure,' says the narrator. I long ago discarded the papers. They, on the other hand, are a perfect match for my William E. Boucher Jr. is a member of the Boucher family. (Spelled Boo- I use a shay) style minstrel banjo, which I believe is the same one Greg Adams uses.
The 7B set is for a 5-string Banjo made of NylGut, which I think is a good substitute for gut. The 5B and 11B sets are also 5-string. These can also be used on a modern banjo (old Time Open Back) to produce a nice old time sound with more volume than you might expect.
Maybe, but I have my doubts. On a 19-fret guitar, I've tried a variety of strings to tune from G to double D. The best material is super nylgut, which has a lot of high-tuned 1 breakage. However, after a few days of playing, tuning these down to G makes them pliable like rubber. The way it's been wound up is excellent. If you have a long neck, you might have a better chance.
Although they are not as bright as steel strings, they can be used in all standard tunings. Gourd banjos and lower minstrel tunings are better for solo or small group playing.

These have been used on a handcrafted minstrel banjo as well as a small banjo that I was attempting to lower the pitch on. What a charming plucky tone! br>br>Be aware that they don't come with nuts or loops at the end, so you'll have to tie a fisherman's knot to secure them to your instrument.
The strings are excellent, and the service is prompt.
