Yes, they are, in my opinion, long enough. I've never had to string a long neck, but when stringing a standard 5-string guitar, I have to cut several inches off each string. string. Before you invest, you might want to get a few more answers.
They're loop end strings, Jerry. For all of my instruments, I've made the switch to Elixir.
I don't think these will fit because they are full-sized guitar strings.

To begin with, I am a huge fan of Elixir guitar strings. They outlast regular guitar strings by a long shot. However, the coating used to extend the life of banjo strings appears to have an impact on the sound of the strings, particularly the fourth string. Every two to three weeks, I replace the strings on my banjo. It's not the most pleasurable aspect of playing, but it's unavoidable. Given my fondness for their guitar strings, I decided to give them a try on the banjo in the hopes of going longer between string changes. I got the extra time, but at the cost of sound quality. The strings themselves still feel as good as they did when I first put them on, four weeks later. They're great for my fingers, but after a few weeks of use, they're not so great for my ears. Now, if the price was the same as it is for my regular GHS- I'd keep buying these from Crowe Studio. For the same price as one set of Elixir strings, however, I can get three sets of GHS-style strings. Strings for the banjo made by Crowe Studio.
First and foremost, you must recognize that I am extremely spoiled, okay? My banjo collection consists of four excellent instruments. Because each one is a little different, I have the freedom to compare strings side by side to see how they compare. On all of my banjos, these strings sound excellent. You'll be happier with light slick strings until you develop finger strength and caluses on your fretting fingers, and coated strings like the Elixir are less likely to tear up your fingers. br>Humidity can be deadly. For seven years, I kept one of my banjos in Japan. Strings did not last as long in the Rocky Mountains as they do in other parts of the country.
Great customer service! They seem weak in comparison to my Ernie Ball Earthwood strings, and I can't seem to hit notes as solidly as I can with the Earthwoods. I play clawhammer banjo, which is hard on the strings, but that's just my opinion.
On my Deering Sierra, these are my go-to banjo strings. Everything else is stock except for a Deering signature bridge. I've discovered that you can give them a gentle touch or a firm shove and they will respond as expected. I get 2- String conditioner was used every few days for three weeks.
I'm amazed at how long my Elixir strings last, and it's critical to wipe them down after each use with a dry cloth. The sound and durability of guitar strings are harmed by moisture and oil on your hands. On my Martin guitar, I only use this brand of strings.
Light gauge strings were installed on my banjo for some reason, and I despised them. It made a huge difference when I put these on my banjo. They sound fantastic and stay in tune much better than light gauge strings.
For a 5-string banjo, this is a good light set of strings. Tune them carefully because if you tune them too tight, they will break.
On my old Framus banjo, these strings sound fantastic - a pleasant, full, and rich tone The best part is that they last a lot longer than non-biodegradable alternatives. strings that have been coated If you don't like changing strings or if you only play once in a while, these are the ones to get.
