This isn't the end of the story. Light hardware is what I'm looking for. I figured I'd give this a shot because Yamaha makes great hardware in general. I'm only 5' 8" and sit at a normal height, but this is just high enough to make it wobbly. I'm afraid I'll crash to the ground in the middle of a show at any moment. Jazz is my instrument of choice. I don't get up and down a lot. Look elsewhere, I assure you.
Just received this drum seat, it was easy to put together but wow I'm very disappointed don't buy this drum seat unless you're 4 ft tall and your drum set is only two feet off the ground it's not even close to being tall enough for me to play my electric drum kit so buyers beware unless you're really really short and your drums are barely off the ground you will not be able to use this seat I might use it in the garage to work on my car but other than that.
Good quality, I bought it to use with my Bomba barril and it's a 100, the only thing to watch out for is the delicate tapizado, which is easy to rip with the cancamos.
If it had been possible to make it slightly taller, I would have given it five stars.
The seat is nice, but it is too short.
This is an excellent product that comes highly recommended.
Period. It's hilarious. I'm 165 pounds and I'm not a heavy player - a great deal of brushwork My life would be a lot easier if I had a lightweight stand. But no matter how tight I tightened the wingnut, I kept sliding down to the bottom. Too bad; Yamaha hardware has always impressed me, and I'm currently using one of their hi-fi systems. Hats are on their feet. However, no one can use this.
