4 legs. I prefer number three because it is less intrusive, but number four is extremely stable. Maybe one day I'll switch bases. This seat, in any case, is incredible. I've been using a Roc n Soc Nitro for about 15 years, and the Spinal is cushier but still supportive (and more comfortable for me, even at 150 pounds). The tailbone benefits greatly from the gap. By comparison, when I sit back on the Nitro, the pressure on my tailbone is significantly increased.
Ahead has a model with a BR, but I'm not sure if it's sold separately or if it can be replaced with a third-party model; perhaps someone has done it.
Hello, if you google "Drum throne hardware feet replacement," you'll come across something like the Gibraltar SC-100. PC07, which appears to be functional. SC Gibraltar - Also available on Amazon for $5 are the PC07 Large Rubber Feet 3/Pack.

My husband has been a drummer for over twenty-one years and has always suffered from numbness in his feet and back pain. He's tried a number of different name-brand thrones and still has issues. Before deciding on the Spinal-X, I read reviews and looked into a variety of seats. G is going to get him something special for Christmas. He's used it three times now, one of which lasted five hours, and he loves it! He's had no numbness or pain! I'll keep you updated if anything changes. But for the time being, it's fantastic! br>He's still smitten with this throne! There are no issues and I'm still feeling great.
You can achieve full motion without any hint of friction, and you'll forget you're sitting on a drum throne because it's so comfortable; it's the ideal place to sit and jam your heart out.
It's great for keeping your posture in check while you're playing. In particular, The ergonomically designed cushion provides excellent comfort and reduces leg fatigue while keeping your spine in proper alignment.
My husband suffers from sciatica and plays on a daily basis, so I bought this for him based on my brother's recommendation that this split seat design made all the difference in comfort by relieving pressure on the spine. Either teaching or performing on stage is an option. This throne is well worth the investment. My only wish is that they could find a way to make it lighter while maintaining its strength. It's quite heavy, so adding it to a gigging musician's already heavy lifting load isn't ideal.
I've never sat in a more comfortable drum throne. Look no further if you're a big guy like me who needs a throne that's both functional and comfortable.
I used this throne for a show right before I had back surgery; we would have had to cancel if it hadn't been for this throne; it arrived quickly and saved the show.
Drum stool that is very comfortable. The seat is very comfortable and secure. I would strongly suggest it. It's a little too sparkly. But, hey, it was less expensive than the all-black version.
It has a great fit and is extremely durable. However, I would not recommend it for gigging drummers because it is extremely heavy in comparison to other drums. It's become such a burden, especially with all the other gear we drummers have to lug around, that I've left this one in the studio and returned to my other, simply because it's lighter. However, I really wish this seat came in a lighter version. It's fantastic.
